What is the best Phaser on iOS? [SOLUTION FOUND]

Hi all,
I am trying to find a phaser that has a deep rolling effect that I can use in Cubasis 3, I have the Arturia CS-80 plugin which I use in Cubase, the Phaser fx in that synth is so deep and powerful, I already have the FAC Phaser AUv3 and it sounds really good but it does not have the depth like the Arturia on desktop.
Any ideas greatly appreciated, at least I will know what to look for.
Thanks

Try using multiple phasers wih different settings.
If you turn Freq down and Feedback up in FAC Phazer and use a low modulation frequency, is that the deep rolling effect you mean?
It's easy to build a more advanced one in Drambo but I'm not sure if you have it?

  • Realphase from Quantovox will give any phaser a run for the money :sunglasses:

I don’t have Drambo. I have been looking at the JAX SR Phaser (Jens Guell), MF-103S 12 stage Phaser (Moog Music), Real Phase (Quantovox), Phaser Factory (Genuine Soundware), I have watched YouTube demos but each demo features different types of sound sources and it’s difficult making a comparison. I have not yet investigated the BLEASS Phaser
The type of effect is I am looking for is a Phaser that sweeps lower and higher than the FAC Phaser. I may be asking too much here.

  • Man that Moog phaser is a kicker.

  • I believe it’s a three-headed race, FAC Phazer, RealPhase and the Moogerfooger (which has the 12-stage option).

Ah, got it, thanks for the more detailed description. Well indeed it seems like you've hit a limitation in FAC Phaser.
Maybe someone else can do a comparison using the same audio source (like a simple sawtooth tone for example).
Should you ever get Drambo, I'm willing to help you build the mega phaser of your dreams ;)

I have all the other apps by Quantovox (true pan spatializer… + that “ring thing”) I can recommend them all but the phaser which I don’t have. They are all quality apps.

I’ve been happy with both the BLEASS phaser, and the moog one with no other specific needs like the OP.

(Spatializer is some secret sauce to me for drums and bass)

  • I'm stunned that no one has mentioned this one: https://apps.apple.com/app/phaser-type-i/id413053673

Just bought the Ringotron app a couple days ago due to @Gavinski 's top ten 2024 vid. Finished off my Quantovox collection just now. I was missing Mid-Side Continuum, and now I got RealPhase. All I had to read in the description was "Jean-Michel Jarre", and voila! 😂

    B) If you're really into those sounds, snap it on this bad boy (and turn off its built-in phaser):
    https://apps.apple.com/us/app/electrorchestra/id6443446919

The INIT PRESET will do nicely. And as a nod to Mr Jarre, the Equinoxe preset's LFO is set to the exact same speed as that on the original album :)

Indeed, I was a beta tester and it's the most advanced phaser app I've seen so far 👍🏼

Of course you’re stunned! This particular phaser is stunning. Sometimes the output really kills.

  • I would like to thank you all for your phaser input, I have been watching many YouTube demos of different Phasers that all you good people have mentioned, the problem I found with this though, is each phaser demonstration uses different sound sources and it’s extremely difficult trying to make a choice between them.
If each demo initially started by using a white noise generator as the source, then move on to different instrument sounds, a more accurate comparison can then be made between the different models.
As I previously mentioned above, I have the FAC Phaser but there is not much depth. I also have 4Pockets Phaser which has a good effect but it doesn’t sweep high enough. myRack has a good phaser but as the effect sweeps low it becomes a stepped curve and resembles more like a Flanger. I have my eye on RealPhase and BLEASS phaser at the moment.
A happy new your to you all 🍻

RealPhase does seem more complex than the BLEASS Phaser, I tried to download the user guide for RealPhase so that I can investigate the more complex settings that don’t appear on other Phasers, but I keep getting the message to Try Again!

  • RealPhase is $15. It’s either worth it to you or not. It sounds like you like to kick the tires more than drive the car off the lot.

No not really, there are many different Phaser apps available, they are not all the same, one might LOOK better than the rest but in fact may sound the worst, I am 71 and have been stung many times in the past, I have amassed a large collection of synth and fx apps over the years, many are just unusable because they don’t hit the spot, I was drawn to a product because of how it looked and what the description stated, so please excuse me whilst I kick a few more tires, I just want to make sure I don’t end up with a collection of Phasers that sound mediocre except for one particular model - that I am trying to find.
    Have a great day 🍻

Maybe try using a different web-browser or something?!
(I've tried with Safari, Firefox and Chrome and all work without any issues).

Do you have any extensions enabled in the browser? If yes, try temporarily disabling them or use 'private mode' when accessing the site?

Fair enough. I think RealPhase is worth it. It’s much more complex than most phasers, so you can get both typical and atypical phaser sounds. So you don’t think I’m a total crank, I am attempting to attach a pdf of the user guide.

If you've ever listened to Jean-Michel Jarre's "Oxygene" and "Equinoxe" albums before, you'll be familiar with the sound of RealPhase. I bought it and only first had the chance to play with the app, affecting BA-1. To my ears there's precious little difference between RealPhase and the phaser JMJ used in Oxygene and Equinoxe.
