I do know that all the user presets from DS1 were automatically merged into DS2. I’m pretty sure they share certain info. So while you can still get 1, I think it’s mostly maintained for users who purchased and used DS1 then purchased and now use DS2. It helped ease the transition when purchasing the new version 2. I had a bunch of user kits in DS1 so it definitely helped when I upgraded. There probably a few reasons, but I think that is, at least in part, maybe why DS1 has kept going after DS2 release. I am speculating, just thought it was relevant to the conversation.

I don’t particularly like ApeMatrix. I have that and ApeFilter, can’t say I like that one much either. The documentation seemed spotty if I’m remembering correctly. I was hoping Ape Matrix did auv3 multi out but never figured it out. They were some of my first iOS plugins, so maybe I’ll take another look if you report back and love ApeMatrix.
@offbrands thx man. Super excited for this. Finally getting GliderVerb.
For those that like model d, mood is good.
IVCS3 is absolutely one of my favourite synths. An extraordinary achievement and currently a bargain.
Anyone use Sparkle: Cross Synthesis and wouldn’t mind elaborating on what it does? Read the desc, watched a couple short demos; it seeems like Arguments where it’s joining two inputs with some sorta algorithm? Does that track or am I way off? Haha
I have to say Density and Electric Vintage are desert island picks for me, any body know if ApeSoft is working on anything new?
Damn it! I bought apeMatrix, mood, iVCS3, iDensity, Electric Vintage. Anything else?
The only one I have is Accordion and I can vouch for that one…
(Edit: Sorry, I should elaborate… I like trying to make Tango-like sounds and am very fond of their bandoneon settings.)
I like Electric and Mood.
No ipulsaret?
Serendipitously, one of the videos in my algo was a fellar using his VCS3’s joystick as a fx processor.
Easiest way to describe it…..
Imagine a jingle, now imagine your favorite song synthesized to the sonic profile (sound) of that jingle.
Also, regarding apesoft sister companies..
Isn’t amazing noises one of them? They still around?
I THOUGHT Dedalus’ UI aesthetic looked familiar! Neat! What about FieldScaper? Maybe collabed with Igor? (Also looks similar)
It’s a spectral vocoder. The input is converted to the target spectrum, I.e. a drumloop gets impressed on a piano sample.
Always happy to grab Korg stuff on sale. It’s nice they have IAPs as part of the sale too. Grabbed Electribe and the Sampler in Gadget. Hoping Electribe is a win - haven’t found a groovebox I click with yet.
Sounds like I’m in the minority on ApeSoft. I’ve had IVCS3 on my wishlist for a while.
