Nice interface. Mush easier on the eye and to understand than the old interface look. I don’t usually bother about presets as it’s a delay and a reverb - much more fun and easier to dial it in as needed rather than go looking for sounds, so that part doesn’t bother me much. Looks like fun.

I agree we don't need presets. It's still kinda mind boggling it was released like that tho 👀

  • It is possible to just save your own presets in AUM by using the user presets folder that AUM offers. That way you can bypass the ‘broken’ presets menu of the plugin itself.

Still a pitty that you cannot try out some factory presets or save your own presets in the standalone version. Indeed weird that it got released like this. You would think they at least would have done a round of beta testing… i guess not 🥴

    That’s why we’re here…💁‍♂️😂

  • Just been playing with it. It really is a nice sounding plug in.

Maybe it's a strategy to get people here whingeing, bump the thread a bit 😂🤣

    Interesting preset navigation system 👀👀!

Yeah, there’s no way that kind of information should ever be exposed to users. I’m permanently deleting this app.

The persistent sloppiness is just a bad sign of things to come… again.

I’m not willing to beta test this thing for them.

  • Tough crowd as usual…

This thing sounds glorious. I’m sure the new release issues will get sorted.

  • As far as I can discern from the saga I’m thinking this is in effect a new developer releasing their first plugin. With the old plugin it appeared to me there was some problem with the developer taken on to work on it. Fingers firmly crossed that this time it works out better!

  • Maximised in AUM on iPhone.

  • A fix has been submitted to the app-store. Fingers crossed.

It is a great sounding plugin. Lets just be grateful that it is free. There are bigger problems in life to get upset about.

    Agreed.
A fix is already on its way supposedly 🤞

  • I purchased the original and the IAP but when I check the app store, it’s priced at $19.99.

Same here. All I had to do was tap the Update button.

  • I deleted it awhile ago so I don’t have an update option.

Try going in your purchased/apps list and they often show up there with a download symbol and no need for the tension of thinking you’ll be paying again…

Try checking your purchased apps list? It may still be in there, just not available to purchase as a new app in the AppStore.

  • I would wait until the next update comes out. I understand the reason the preset/file system bug didn’t show in beta was that it only occurred when the developer was attempting to publish the new app to replace the old so existing customers would not have to pay again. That’s never straightforward on iOS so I appreciate that effort.

Good to know, yeah it’s definitely not a biggie and a fix will be out soon apparently

  • Thanks. I’ll check when I get home.

  • I really like this app, but even the icon on the AppStore is screwed up.
Even though, it still sounds great

It's the same here. I've just updated it on my iPad and everything seems to work 🤔

For the record a bucket brigade delay is entirely analog, so at best this is a virtual BBD... the same way there are no true analog synths or filters in iOS format, only virtual analog. I say this because the real BBD (as opposed to a digital delay) has a particular sound alteration by passing through all of the capacitors, so hopefully this simulation does a good job emulating that in the form of IR's or some other means.

    Are there any IAPs?

app store description has no mention of IAP's. When it originally came out few years ago, the base app was free, with one IAP to get the plate reverb if I remember right. Now it appears to be 19.99 US.

the thing is, I never purchased the original IAP years ago, yet I was able to update just now and it appears to have full functionality....

Yep, chatted to the dev, they decided not to do an iap with this one and to let all previous buyers of the app (whether they'd bought the old iap or not) get the new version for free. A decent move, I reckon.

  • That thing is truly spectacular.
    Flo

  • There’s an update that makes the preset browser accessible. No back and forth, you need to tap the folder and pick a preset. In defense for the developer: as I bought the IAP way back, I was able to download the “new” app without the need for another purchase.

I think it’s the best BBD style delay on iOS, I also got a Lyra-8 with a true BBD delay.

From my memory the app was free, the IAP only unlocked some plate algorithms. Maybe my memory is wrong, so thanks for clarifying.

Oh yeah actually, you're right! I got confused. Thing is, people who downloaded the old free version also seem to get this one totally for free. Which is certainly generous.

  • A fair deal and nice to seem them fixing up the menu situation so quickly too. Thank you! 🙂
