💯 Once I buy Chord Generator, it will be used on my next piece of Ambient!

    Good work, @MarioNieto

    Exactly! Bravo @MarioNieto ☺️

  • This looks great, I notice it says it’s Mac compatible, which seems a bit odd since there’s a separate Mac version.

I notice the same thing with Harmony Bloom - I have the ipad version, but when I go to download it on the Mac it asks for payment. Is this the usual app store glitch do you think?

  • Amazing tool. If you love Scaler 2 and ChordJam, then you won’t be disappointed

  • does it support mpe like chordjam?

So it is not so similar to Scaler? I'm trying to find an excuse to buy another chord generator.
EDIT: Definitely different enough. I saw the YT Complete overview dev's video and I'm excited on the Retrigger feature. Well done.

It is much closer to ChordJam

Same here! I have it on desktop. It’s an absolute must have in my opinion.

  • This looks interesting!!!

  • If you watch @MarioNieto ’s live streams you get a sense for how epic this app is. Paired with Harmony Bloom you can truly get some melodic and harmonic ideas going that are extremely inspiring. This app really replaces Scaler for me

Am I miss something or there is no internal pattern sequencer here like Scaler has in the section C?

  • Is it possible to copy a chord to make small changes? I haven’t figured out how to do this yet (logically it should be).
    How to latch chord?

  • The chord is automatically copied when you press an empty pad :) Just need to figure out how latch chord?

  • @filo01 I don’t think it has a sequencer

No sequencer. You would/could trigger chords from another midi app like Atom etc

  • My pleasure 🙏

  • How is this different to Chordjam?

Similar functionality as far as I can tell, but I’ve never managed to get my head around Chordjam…just the interface puts me off. I think this one will scale better as an AUv3.

VERY minimal differences to Chordjam currently. Here's some that i noticed:

    • has a 6th note (bass)
    • No sequencer
    • Can play the chord pads with a midi keyboard
    • Has a knob to dial in equal strums easily

Since Mario was one of the developers of Chordjam my guess is that this is going to be Chordjam 2 essentially. Or Audiomodern is going on a different direction with Chordjam and he wanted to keep it alive and Push it in his own direction.

In any case, currently, it's almost identical functionality.

If you already bought the app, when you go to download the iPad version through the Mac store, it’ll look like it’s taking payment, until the end and it lets you download it. It’s a long standing glitch on the Mac App Store.

Just double check you’ve bought the iPad version, on the same Apple account, and that it’s the same version. Some devs do have Separate apps with the same name so that can be confusing. FWIW same thing with Harmony Bloom and I was able to download it for free even thought is said purchase.

  • @jwmmakerofmusic been eagerly checking this thread to see what's up. Did you get it yet? I'm watching the vidya from the apps page.

Have you actually done this thought the, as the app is also available separately for desktop?

Still need to purchase it. Had some bills come due, which sucks. But I will buy Chord Generator either tomorrow or Monday. :)

For harmony bloom, yes. I only purchased once.

This chord app says made for iPad on the Mac App Store and those aren’t separate purchases. I believe they sell a desktop version on their site as well? I’m 99% about this process, would be 100 if the questions didn’t make me question it 😅

Thanks. I’m not sure why I would buy this one as well in that case. One to watch for me.
