@PapaBPoppin what would you expect the bundle price to be? I see a bundle of 4, individually priced at 29.99, and the bundle is priced at 99.99
Does this support multiple external sources (audio fed into the plugin), or only one source and seversl SWAM or whatever internal ones ?
Id assumed they would also be $30 each (full price) since that's Audio Modelings standard non-sale pricing across the board for iOS
And they state 33% off in the body of each app. So if $30 each is sale price, we'd be looking at regularly priced what... $42 reg priced apps? (Quick head maff, probably not exact)
That just feels off
I haven't done anything in standalone (save for start it to allow network access. Required to work at all. Error in auv3 if not done first)
However in Loopy, you throw one instance across each of the effects slot under the instruments you want included, and it creates a new icon in the 'room'

Downside, no auto naming and I haven't figured out how to edit names, so they are all Loopy External right now xD
However, Decent Sampler pans and is effected by reverb and placement just like the rest (leftmost is DS, other 3 are Swam)
Not sure whether the new Sections are on sale. Only bundle price.
Is there an announcement somewhere? Nothing on their homepage - or I didn't find it.
My confusion comes in because on each individual Sections app, the text states the same sale info
But, this could all be taking time to sync things up. I’m 99% certain when the individual solo instruments are updated for Ambiente, their names should auto fill, as well [where it's just four instances of "Loopy Pro" in the pic above]
I didn’t see a post or any info anywhere… I was looking at the Audioi Modeling website and clicked thru to the iOS apps (hoping for more info) and it ground me to their main AppStore page and I saw Ambiente and Sections sitting there…. Musta been wild coincidental timing
(Hell, I could be setting it up wrong… only effed with it a few minutes here and there between life stuffs)

However could still be a syncing issue on the last couple of solo instruments that aren't on sale
If anything, I can see the Sections having potential. However Ambiente... It's got baked-in communication with other Swam instruments, but you could throw an instance on geoshred and still use it the same way anyway?
Or is there an example I'm missing? (Honest question. While I'm a very big fan, I'm greener than my envious desire for a breath controller when it comes to in depth knowledge)

What does this mean ' baked in communication for other Swams '
Can you use with Pianoteq etc ?
Iv got all/most swams but also use other apps that might need to be in the same room.
Usually and not really for a reason but usually add reverb to a send. Then send amounts of instrument to reverb.
Would you just bus send tracks to a track with the reverb ( I guess so if it calculates a room etc )
And what is swam sections bundle.
I bought swam strings bundle a while back.
So what is swam string sections ( people talking like its new apps ? )

Thanks, I just tried this and it works perfectly.
The separately purchasable Ambiente app as opposed to the one that is included in each of the SWAM instruments can be used with any other sound source e.g. Pianoteq, Decent Sampler, GeoShred, X, Y, Z etc. The multiple copies of Ambiente communicate with each other and share the same view of the world re rooms and instrument placement in the rooms.
With SWAM instruments all of the above is true but they can use their own embedded version of Ambiente.

No no. These are multiple violins played simultaneously, or violas, etc
Fuller sound. Perfect for filling out larger orchestra parts
The Sections options is what I picked up Iconica Sketch for... Before these released (well, can't snag em yet... But hopefully soon. Luckily Ambiente on sale was within reach!)
Tldr: Sections for full orchestra with solo instruments for first chair/solos (cannot wait to mess with it!)

Not the same! These are sections, what you bought before are solos. For example, this violin section app will sound like a few violinists playing together. The solo violin app is for emulating a single violin.
A string section is a single AU instance that simulates the sound of a string section rather than the sound of a solo instrument.
What about ambiente.
It can work with other apps ( say a pianoteq piano in room ) ?
and what is cpu like for this type of reverb ?
I have 8 swams loaded on a seperate ipad ( so an ipad just for swams )
Its all you can really add ( at 1024 buffer on an ipad 9 )
Luckily the buffer dosent affect me, unlike Piano ( which has its own ipad at a low buffer )
Sections apps and solo apps are very different beasts. The original string bundle released few years ago, includes all the solo strings apps. The newly released sections strings bundles includes all the sections strings apps.
@catherder , to change the names, press Manage, click on the instrument you want to rename, overtype the name and then press either back or close that window. Note there is a bug which I reported some time ago (may only apply to AUM but I don’t think so) where if you change the channel the instrument is in by moving the channel left or right it goes back to the default name.
@sigma79 , Ambiente can work with any app. Hard to say what cpu is like but it doesn’t seem excessive on my iPad Pro, see screenshot for example of 4 instances being driven hard by piano motifs.
The sections apps emulate 4, 5 or 6 individual instruments.
Does it need by app type design ( ambiente ) an instance per instrument or is this your choice ( 4 instance for piano motif ) ?
It’s the design of Ambiente… Piano Motifs is a red herring, forget I mentioned it !
E.g. in AUM you might have 4 channels with e.g. Moog, Ravenscroft, Copperhead and Speldosa.
If you want all of them to use Ambient you put an instance of Ambiente as an effect in each of the 4 channels.
You can control the rooms and positions using any of the 4 instances of Ambiente, they all show the same view of the world / share information etc but processing wise they each use DSP.

Unless theres still perks of manual positioning ?
