Count to 5 for iOS?

Has anyone come across an AUv3 for iOS/iPadOS that functions anything like Montreal Assembly's Count to 5 pedal?
(it's sort of a delay looper with added randomness and I'm not really sure how it works it just sounds good to me  )

  • Unfortunately the search function on this forum is useless these days :| (hello Admin?)

I don't think there is one app that does what Count to 5 do.

Maybe you should take a closer look at Ridgewalk and Weeping Wall and combine them.

Igor Vasiliev is also a developer that can make strange deley/loopers.

Good ideas - I’d suggest Gauss might be in the ballpark too. https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/gauss-field-looper/id1530684073

  • There are some Drambo patches that get close to this territory for sure…. Try this one:

  • It really depends on exactly what functionality you are talking about here. Stochastic looping? Live adjustability?

The awesome app Sector (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/sector/id618095247) may be what you are looking for?

(btw - I'd describe this more as a Chase-Bliss Bloop/Mood pedal because I've never heard of the Count to 5 before, but that's just me.)

Thanks for the great suggestions - I will try them all and see where I get to. Thing about Count to 5 for me is I don't really know what it does or how it does it I just love it (I think that's part of the appeal 😂), which makes it tricky to search for a replacement but lots of good stuff to go on here - thanks again :)

It's basically a delay buffer that can be read in multiple ways, forward and reverse.
You can do all this with Drambo's Delay and Buffer modules, and even add more delay/buffer modules for polyphonic output.
Make sure you spend some time playing with settings and modulations, there's a plethora of fun effects to explore.

  • Would the Shards Drambo patch be useful here?

Why not, yes, it's one example of what you can do. But I would suggest to start with a simple patch first, to get a feeling for what can be done with Delay and Buffer modules and some modulation - or just knob tweaking.

  • Excellent - thanks :)
