i got sampletank 2.02 for my 64 bit approved ios and it didn't install. frankly i hate sampletank - i hate amplitube - i hate everything ik multimedia ever did - but at 2 bucks there was an in app purchase i wanted
to me all their instruments sound like they ripped east west exotic instruments and recanned them. people who think otherwise have never used the great sounds in kontakt like anything from soniccouture, 8dio, synth magic premier, etc - ik suck by comparison
did i say it didn't install - i had to jump through hoops to get apple to refund my 2 bucks, and ik multimedia are so lacking intelligence they sent me pages long emails and quizzes as if i work for them and am going to debug their product.
this is my honest feels and i am not getting compensated for speaking out

I have the full version of SampleTank and find a number of the sounds on Sampletank very usable, not great but definitely usable. What I don't like though is that it seems that a lot of the synth and pad sounds are not velocity sensitive. I see that the sounds packs are all on sale right now so I want to grab some of the synths and pads but I wonder if any of you can let me know which additional sound packs offer a larger number of sounds that do not have a fixed velocity.
Rule of thumb: always wait for the sale, never pay full price. IOS apps go on sale at least twice a year.
IIRC the original desktop version hat 5000 patches. Some of them being presets the same samples in the background. Compare this to 300 and you will see that the iOS version is not really cheap.
