  • YES!!! At last!

Couldn't care less, bullshit company when it comes to iOS. They even admitted it here on the forum (1 of 100 customers are iOS (allegedly, I will add)) so, no economy in service what's broken here.

I'm bitterly joking because I (do care but) have said I'll boycott them till they fix Transit on iOS. Who are you if you can't keep a promise made to yourself.
It is what it, at least it saves me money (trying to look at the bright side.) 🙃

  • So what’s the deal with Humanoid and what makes it special?

Never heard of it until today but found this video

I wonder how well Roxsyn works with vocals.
Why did I never try it? 😄

  • Oh yeah !!!

What problems do you have with Transit? I use it on everything I make and haven’t noticed any issues at all.

No it works as it should, excellent tool. I (like to pretend) I'm a sound designer and need to do my own presets for global use (i.e any daw/app on the platform). Now you can only save internally - this has been from the start.
Also when you import a preset pack - they all end up in /user not under the pack name. Tristan promised early this would be fixed and since then have promised two more times, the latest in the sales thread (where he also blurted the 1 in 100 thingy) more than 6 months ago.

For me this is a dealbreaker, especially with the broken assurances - but, as I say: I made a promise to myself that I will boycott them till it's fixed and it's boring as hell because I do like their stuff.

Anyway, it's up to each and any to do as they wish.
I will keep letting anyone who could bother, know about it.

There's a long thread from app release where you can read Tristans excellence in customer care (I also have an email reply from him, but can't bother to spend time find it now.)

There's also the stuff with BA-1 where the same fx-strip that's on desktop should have accompanied an update but never have. Not sure if that was ever a promise though @Luxthor ?)

It was not exactly promises, but more like statements that this feature is on the way. I can’t find this thread using the forum search. 😅 Weird?! 🧐

  • I'm curious to see how much it costs. I've stopped buying apps now that videos have become my primary focus but I think this was the "secret sauce" that was used by Bring Me the Horizon on "I Dig It". I really love the sound of the vocals on that track.

Here's when he says we (the Transit users) will get the updated preset system, it really 6-7 months (I thought maybe I exaggerated a bit). And here's the link from where I got screen dump. Finding the conversation from the 2024 sales thread going to be harder, if not impossible.

Sorry, I’m not Transit user, but the unfortunate thing about the incomplete BA-1 iOS version is that it becomes incompatible with its desktop counterparts. For example, when using FX strips, you cannot transfer projects between the two Logic Pro versions. So, everyone who purchased both versions and is using iOS and macOS in their workflow feels let down.

And there are no other developers doing this for the iOS ports, are there?

I don't know if you're joking, but, I'm sure there are others. Stripped down iOS versions is not uncommon, unfortunately.
    I don't use BA-1.
Anyway, for Transit I can only say that if they've just lived up to their words I would have bought it for desktop as well (on a sale, regular price is not for me). It is that good, so, the old saying "shot yourself in the foot" applies. 😆

Have You reported it to them?
And yes it’s a bit annoying bug that needs fixing.

Maybe @tristan can lift it up but my guess is the priorities are on new plug-ins as updates don’t bring in any new fresh cash…

For me using the switch in the delay section once and turning the sliders down worked. After that the delay works fine.

I mostly have issues with the stuck delay after I use the 'reset' function to init the preset, after that it doesn't matter what I do with the delay it just won't turn off :(

    Hmmmm
That’s the same with me. For that problem my switchy thing works on my system. Have you tried it?

I found out that for my system it has something to do with the sync switch.

The switching sync on/off works but makes absolutely no sense...
In short it feels like the UI knobs are 'Inited' but some parts of the audio-engine aren't...

...the desktop BA-1 works as expected with no 'delay' issues :)

From what I heard from devs about auv3 I wouldn’t be surprised if it was because of another auv3 idiosyncrasy that will take a week to figure out with the big possibility that when you have solved this problem you will also have created another.

But all in all, even if the baby audio guys were heartless humanoids, the joy and possibilities their work has brought me and keeps bringing me outweighs the cost and bugs I have to deal with by a lot.

I think it’s really mean and sad that this thread that began as an exciting piece of news about a new great possibility to make music on iOS landed here, where we complain about bugs and cursing the developers. If I was the dev it would take all the fun out to share my work with the iOS crowd for me. Really. It’s sad. Most likely there will be a 25€ resynthesizer auto tuner spectral vocoder thingy coming our way this week and we gollum around in our iPad basements…

  • Thanks for the heads up, guys! We’re looking into the BA-1 delay issue and the Transit preset saving situation. And seriously — feel free to keep bugging us about stuff. It helps us prioritize what matters most.
