Slightly OT for an iMPC thread, but can you share how you got external audio into iMini on iOS?

I didn't think you could do this.

Try these settings in iMini and press a key and all input is fed thru iMini, if no 'headphones' are attached it will be feedback-heaven because the mic-input is feed thru iMini...:D

I completely missed this reply back in December.

Thanks for posting, I'll try this tomorrow.

    Cheers.

  • @gycyrus always happy to share thoughts on this kind of stuff . Keep a lookout for bm3 that's sure to be a burner when it gets here, I guess beat hawk went back to the drawing board but I had high hopes for that one ,

  • @kobamoto - just wanted to respond to your last few posts. I actually agree with many of your comments. In fact, your Logic vs Ableton example was a good analogy for your point so as I mentioned, I'm glad that iMPC pro is working out for your creativity. If it was available on the iPhone, I would probably buy it as well but since it's not, I'm focusing more on other apps such as Beat Machine and Intua. I do remember when I first bought BM2, the workflow wasn't the smoothest but since there wasn't any other choice at the time, I ultimately became familiar with it so it's not as big a deal for me to use it anymore. I'm planning on playing some large venues so while sound fidelity might not be a big concern on small speakers, in a large club, can be noticeable. Hell, I never even realized that using the 1/8th inch output of a Macbook could affect the high end on a large sound system but apparently it does so I'm going off of people who have had experience playing in large venues and incorporating that into my workflow ahead of time instead of having to learn a whole other workflow in the future.

    Happy beat making!

  • hey there Gjcyrus i definitely get what you mean, I record my live instrumentation in high resolutions it's just my sample based music that I don't upsample cause it doesn't improve on the artifacts. You know the feature that beatmaker has that I wish all other apps had is the ability to audition samples from your iTunes browser before it loads them up into the app…. no other beatmachine in iOS does that and even the audio editors at least none that I know of… it becomes very tedious when you need to browse through a large sample library and you're not sure what you're looking for and just want to hear it quickly before loading. I hope all other apps get this fundamental feature one day :)

Does 24 bit / 44 Samples work in iMPC Pro now?

Can you paste more than, say, 50 samples from AudioCopy?

Just pasted 77 Mad Professor Vol 1, short samples, (in 16 bit/44) - and after a while iMPC Pro crashes, when i go to, say, program and chose a folder.
