gigging guitarist digging Loopy pro - needing to sync tempo with other apps / iOS devices
As a guy who likes to play guitar and tinker with apps - Loopy is a great tool.
I am experimenting with loopy to find a good balance between 3 main tools:
- live looping
- pre-recorded loop/track playback
- metronome / drum machine for the other band peeps to stay in sync
currently looking for guidance on using loopy pro as the master tempo to send to other iOS devices.
I'm a bit unfamiliar with the way this forum works as it sends me to links outside of the forum. Realize I'm a noob here. thanks for your patience.

If you want loopy pro to be the master and the other apps support midi clock. send midi clock to the apps/devices by setting up the synchronization panel and specifying them as clock destinations.
What links are sending you out of the forum?
thanks for the quick reply!
2 things:
I connected the iphone to the ipad using a usb-c cable. Perhaps ableton link does not support direct usb connection.
as far as search results - looks like its operator error since the results are formatted like a google search. thanks for question
@humbuckr it sounds like the search results you're getting are normal. The forum uses Duck Duck Go for its search engine. It might look like something is wrong, but if you look at the actual links, they're all internal links, links to things posted on this forum.
How exactly is everything connected? Connecting an iPhone and iPad via a USB-C cable doesn't make the devices visible to each other.
Can the stomp be set to follow MIDI Clock? If so, set it to follow clock and in Loopy Pro's synchronization panel set the stop as a clock destination. Note that MIDI Clock does not actually send tempo information. MIDI Clock sends out pulses and receivers calculate the tempo from the received pulses. (Ableton Link shares actual tempo information)
Connecting the iOS devices to my Mac does make them visibile (Audio/Midi Setup app) lists the devices and provides config options although I don't think Loopy pro is able to use the MacOS communication.
Turns out that my approach to use the iPhone won't work anyway since the single USB-C port cant support connecting to the ipad AND outputting audio...

I dont have access to the stomp right now but will give this a shot when i get back home.
