He is an incredible drummer. I saw him so many times with Black Oak Arkansas. They headlined my hometown every 2 to 3 months.
Bernie Torme 😀
Rude much!
Hopefully may I rudely awaken some ignorance, Mr Osbourne was a disgrace that is all I can say here, but if you need further elaboration that I’m more than willing to explain in the ‘other’ section of this forum.
Oh bugger off... I'll pass on the rage bait.
Calm down.
I am calm, despite your rude attempt to "awaken ignorance" right after someone deeply beloved by many just died. I said I'll pass, so quit @ ing me.
I’m sorry you love a disgraceful person, but I offered my feelings too with regards to his passing, I also offered you or anyone an explanation as to why I feel this way, you offered insults, if that’s how you feel then kindly take your own advice or just ask me why in the ‘other’ section.
Perhaps it's wise and logical to read the room and not speak ill of the recently deceased. However, if you feel so inclined, by all means post your ramblings in the Other section in an easily-ignorable thread.
You called me ignorant.
I responded to YOUR insult by saying bugger off or leave me alone... It's not an insult, and I further requested again that you leave me alone, and since you keep refusing to respect that request I guess I have to block you now.
I’m expressing my opinion just because it’s contrary to the opinions expressed here doesn’t make it any less valid, nor censored as for others they are welcome to express their opinions.
UPDATE:
I’ve posted why I care not for the loathsome person Osbourne was, anyone can read it in the other section.
I couldn't care less if you wish to express your opinions. I'm saying mitigate it to the "Other" section where we who wish to grieve can do so in peace.
Don’t tell me what’s right or wrong, when you willingly ‘bury your head in the sand’ maybe if you actually listened for a moment you may learn something.
You didn’t even know Ozzy, so stop it with the sycophantic nonsense.
Musically ground breaking. Decent human being? Not so much. Good rule is to not look to closely at your “heroes”. I’ll still listen to his music, but shed a tear about his passing. That’s a hard no.
A good perspective, thank you.
I don’t know why some people can’t just > @jwmmakerofmusic said:
Yes, I think the other section is more appropriate than interjecting negative, non-musical opinions on the recently passed here.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see what you will do to this thread by bad-mouthing Ozzy based on the posts so far.
You know, it’s perfectly possible to mourn the passing of a musical hero, while at the same time acknowledging their flaws.
The more I learn about Zappa the less I like him as a person. But I still mourned his passing, still respect his creative legacy, and am saddened at the loss of any future musical output.
Fronted by Ozzy, Sabbath were metal gods, inspiring millions, inventing a whole new genre of music.
I’m more than comfortable mourning the loss of that talent, regardless of any personal shortcomings.
The best, most well-rounded and sensible post. Exactly what I was trying to convey, but I'm not known for eloquently explaining myself. 😂
+1
And Ozzy, while not perfect (and who is?), also did a lot of really good things for humanity, including just recently holding the highest-grossing charitable concert of all time, which is no small feat by any means... but some people are so quick to demonize anyone at the drop of a hat. I had some lady earlier today trying to tell me that he chewed the heads off of bats at every single concert and that he held satanic parties to torture animals, which is just absolute rubbish. The irony is that PETA even spoke out to praise him for his animal advocacy. 😂
I been listen to metal since I was 9 years old. I heard it all. But you seem to think you are the giver of knowledge.
What is this that stands before me?
I will never forget the first time I heard that. I was 15. I thought... this is something new.
The world will go on without him, but he was certainly entertaining while he was here.
In honor of the location, he was merely surrendering his urine.
He knew the joys and aggravations:

Hard to tell if what he said was accurate as he changed details of stories often, but apparently the cop who arrested him allegedly said “How would you like it if I went to London and urinated on Buckingham Palace?”, and Ozzy’s response was “I couldn’t give a shit mate, I don’t live there.”
Such a perfect answer.
Well said 🍻 no one deserves such remarks.
I bought the Cassette album of Paranoid when it first came out, my girlfriend who became my wife was also a massive Black Sabbath fan, that cassette serenaded both of us in our courting days, especially the magical Planet Caravan, such a dreamy track for those loving days.
I think if you grew up with Ozzy in your life, you will never see his bad side, I certainly haven’t, there is definitely no need for bad vibes here, Ozzy will be greatly missed, so will his humour.
Amazing he lasted until 76.
Last year I read the biography of Black Sabbath written by a guy who was, from memory, their tour manager for a few of the early years - quite an eye opener.
Right on, totally agree 🍻 That album was the one I would listen to over and over. Planet Caravan was always my favorite track as well.
Hi, where is your post?
