IMOP, it looks kinda cheesy with the colored pads. I like the old raw look in the older models. Spec wise though, it looks impressive.
If looks could kill the MPC Live 3 is definitely a ninja, in this particular incarnation of the MPC line.
FWIW the M+ Pads were always the benchmark of how Pads should feel and perform based on my experience since 2015 when i got into this endless game…and i find that the Live 3 pads have surpassed them in regards to feel and playability.
I hope you get a chance to test one out to experience for yourself. It’s a new day for the MPC line imho.
I sold my mpc because I didn’t like how I needed to have fixed velocity on the pads, but the maschine allowed me to play with dynamics. Maybe it’s my fingers, and my tastes.
Thanks. Pass me the Rennies.
I never played the maschine plus pads just a few maschine controllers. The mk1 was nice but got stolen so i replaced it with a mk 3 micro a few years ago. But i no longer use maschine because of akai and yes I should be experiencing the live 3 pads in a week or two if I can find one available in that time frame.
I’ve been trying not to cave in but the live 3 is like the Borg from startrek. Resistance is futile.
My last question. Has anyone used the Live 3 to control Ableton? The X has ableton control and it’s nice. Just wondering if the 3 has continued the tradition. Please tell me no. Some one give me one reason no to spend more money!
Any double trigger issues with the the MPC Live 3? It got annoying that I got rid of the Live 2 because of it
