No need for another instance of polyflo , you can just use a bus send on one track and Mix bus on the polyflo track .
Then set whichever Flow Processor to envelope follower .
Works great, thanks! I was putting FLO in the Fx slot of whatever was feeding the follower, then sending that modulation signal to the volume parameter of other tracks. This works MUCH better haha. LEARNDING! 🤙
Thanks Squishy , it does work both ways. However doing this way you can easily remove the audio output channel altogether on the Polyflo channel, so no risk of accidentally turning on the Cv outputs .
Thanks! I was having a hard time understanding how to set this up in either Live or AUM. The thing that tripped me up was assuming I could assign all the output channels for each "Flo" in the app. But you have to create a new track, one per Flo that you want to use. At least I can make it work that way.
Glad you found success! 🤘 it’s a great feeling, figuring things out.
Not sure what you’re referring to by “hav[ing] to create a new track, one per FLO that you want to use”. When hosting in AUM, you can send out all the FLOs to different midi channels and ccs from one instance of the app, no need for multiples. If you’re referring to external routing, my mistake and disregard (but that sounds like a pain in the arse 😬)
I'm referring to sending control voltage for each Flo to different channels of my ES-9 audio interface. I would imagine it would work the same as the MIDI channels.
edit: just realized I can send them at least in pairs from AUM. One instance to channels 9 & 10 and another instance to 11 & 12 etc. using the Main CV outputs.
The way I have it set up with my es 10 is to utilise AUM multi bus instance . Each flow then goes to whatever output you choose and this way you only need 1 instance of polyflo .
How do you tell each flow which bus to send to in the polyflo app?
Roger!
Btw if you host in Drambo you don’t have to go through the pop up menu at all for routing; no midi cc or channel selecting needed. Just the modular drambo way with the imaginary cables 👍
Thanks for the info. I'll look into this!
Hey @Gavinski , how did you do this?

Question is AUM the only host app you can send/ map out midi cc messages from POLYFLO to learn another 3rd party synth AU apps parameters? Are there any iOS iPad OS DAWS that let you do this ? Thinking the more linear style ie Logic Pro etc ?
Some of the flo functions allow you to send out midi notes
Aha, time to go deep with the manual then...
Hi Gkillmaster.
Let’s say in AUM you have Polyflo on an Audio channel and you want to send out each flo to its own Expert sleepers channel.
So add another audio channel and then mute or disable the output (if you haven’t yet assigned the usb output.)
Click on the effects slot of the new channel and choose load multi bus audio unit instances . Choose Fac Polyflo .
There are two numbers above each other next to the Polyflo symbol click on those to choose which Polyflo goes to your audio interface. Add more Audio channels and repeat.
Thanks a lot. Finally got this to work! The final trick was to convert the stereo audio tracks to mono in AUM. Thanks for your tip. Pointed me in the right direction!
Loving this app , I’ve just discovered that the envelope follower in Polyflo will also take cv signals as well as audio .
I am currently using a tidal modulator from mirack to output in a flow processor which you can then process with other flo processors .
Never even thought of this, thanks! Prolly get some real interesting results pairing FLO and the Geodesic modules together too 👍
I’m only responding because you misspelled this word several times. I don’t usually address spelling errors. It’s spelled “Huzzah” and it’s at least as old as the works of William Shakespeare.
Can’t say I won’t do it again, but noted!
(I think Hazaa is Arabic so it’s got ya beat mr Shakespeare…)
😉
What's the next step to get the sidechain input to work? In AUM I have PolyFlo in the FX slot of one channel, and the multiFX version on another channel, but I can't figure out what sort of configuration within the PolyFlo app gives me access to the sidechain input.
Think I knew this but have forgotten - contact the dev?
Ok, yeah, see screenshot. Make sure you are using PolyFlo loaded as an audio FX, not a midi processor. Open the second instance as multi out. Be sure to set the section on the right to External, as shown in the screenshot. I have a bunch of videos walking through PolyFlo on my Patreon btw (only looking at the midi aspect, not CV, mind you).
I am a depraved app addict, and yet I've still spent ten times as much money on modular.
Don't know how but this one slipped under the radar. Only now realized my FAC folder is incomplete. Off to youtube.
Anyone have iOS synths they’d recommend using this with? I have a lot of fun setting it up with Bleep from jAmp.
is the flo signal setup still a chore or has it been streamlined @ all? i cant find a pdf guide
Hasn’t changed but ya get used to it
Is it a pain in the ass to setup everytime you use it? Lfoh is a pain and most seem to think it's the easiest (mlfo is much easier, imo)
