I’ll definitely be working on some presets to share ! Enjoying this so far !
Horizontal panels it is.
Just a thought, but why does this app open with the EQ and not the synth settings? I think it's better the other way around.
I believe that is because it is opened it in horizontal mode. Synth Parameters should be default - in both portrait and horizontal mode. Working on it :-)
Lovely stuff 👌
Would you care to elaborate on this ? Is this an performance/optimizatio- or an UI issue?
Attempt at a punchy bass with a bit of dirt on it. It worked between my iPad and iPhone to share it, so hopefully it works here. I’ll post future ones in the Patch Sharing section. **Edit: Seems only good at C4 (MIDI 60) and above.
Beefy! I love it - Ill add it to the factory presets
Sure, no problem. I spent a couple hours with it last night on my IPad. As a plugin in AUM it works great and I was able to dial in some nice sounds. I’m looking forward to exposed parameters for MIDI. Standalone seems a little wonky because in portrait mode I can see all nine of the modules and in landscape mode I see the EQ. Maybe by design? but seems awkward to me. This is on a nine running the latest 18 PadOS.
On my phone, 12 running 26, in portrait mode I get the filter module and see no way to pull up any of the other modules. And in landscape mode I get the keyboard but the EQ is missing. I don’t do much music making on my phone so it’s not really a big deal. I just tried it as a plugin in LP and in portrait it’s the same as standalone but in landscape it’s the filter but only the knob with res and drive showing! That’s at fullscreen for the plugin. And as I’ve seen mentioned already, ya need a tip jar ;-)
@FERALAUDIO - In my setup loding it in AUM it appears that if the amp and env filters are turned off manually, they remain off even when a new preset is loaded. Is that by design?
Most of these cases should be covered by the upcoming release. This is a bi-product of me not knowing anything about iOS workflows. Got you covered.. I wont include a tipjar, but i'd rather ask you to keep the feedback coming, leave a positive app review, share a preset, show a friend...
Not by design... I will add it to the backlog.
Hello again!
Version 1.1 of GORILLA is now live on the App Store.
This update focuses heavily on improving the AUv3 workflow and overall usability, based on the great feedback here on the forum.
What’s new in v1.1:
I’d really appreciate if you could test this version as much as possible, especially in AUv3 hosts, as I’d love to get things as polished as possible before January 1st (when my focus shifts back to my day job 😊).
Thanks again for all the feedback - it genuinely helped shape this update.
@FERALAUDIO Love having all the params available on the iPhone version! Especially combined with having the full portrait-mode functionality for AUM jams with Prism 😊
Only issue I’m having is that the knobs behave very strangely for me (iPhone 13 Mini, 26.2) - they don’t seem to track finger movement very precisely, often jumping a long way with small finger movements, or not moving at all over large finger movements. I’ve found they can even move the opposite direction to finger movement occasionally. Personally, I’d be happy to see the knobs changed into faders, which all behave perfectly for me!
+1
I used quite some time making sure you would get a soft and tactile-like experience with the knobs. However, I never tested with the mini. I’ll look into this issue for smaller release before January 1st.
Also @somblebeats - let’s hear some of it!
I’d like to request the ability to export or backup the full user preset library. Exporting them individually via the image files a great for sharing, but for those who have a lot of custom presets and who need to reinstall the app or restore it, it would help a lot.
