@Fitz There is a button "PO" in short for "Play Out" in the main screen. Turned on (green) will ignore tapping on each separate string. Off stops single notes when a finger-tap is released which is hard to avoid when for example fingerpicking
Ha ha! That's what the PO is! Perfect, thanks. Just out of curiosity, the DS?
Dynamic Strum When on: once a strum is started from a chord pad you can change the strum speed when it is playing.
Version 3.0.1 (waiting for Apple approval) adds another button PF - Play Forever
@tonappas I just picked this up during the sale, and noticed that the D and G strings have a 4cm dead spot from the capo. Fingerpicking doesn't work up or down within this area on the D string and doesnt work down (but seems to work up) on the G string. The issue doesn't appear to happen for a full strum from top to bottom, but anything less than that ( more natural picking/ strumming) and you get missing notes.
@busker Aware of the dead spot. You are correct, a full strum is not affected by this. If you play over the "sound hole" this is not a problem.
So, there is a tiny update on its way, 3.0.1 which fix an issue with double notes on MIDI in, better string animations and a new play mode "PF". Short for "Play Forever". With this activated a started strum will play "forever".
Status "Ready for sale" and should appear any time if its not already there.
Well, last update for 2014
Cheers!
Thanks, fix the Issues i was having with my midi keyboard and the app
Play Forever mode is awesome. Thanks for the update!
thanks for the great update
I had some trouble yesterday using the app an an IAA instrument. It shows up in the list of IAA instruments in my DAW, but when you select it there's no audio or apparent link between the two apps.
Hi! Could it be that background audio was turned off?

Nope I checked that to be sure.
Strange. I just tried with both Cubasis and MDAW and there is sound.
ok, thanks for checking. Must have been user error - I'll keep trying.
If you describe your setup, I can try doing the same to reproduce
I'm using ios 7.1.2, multitrackstudio 1.7 with a midi track. I tried it again tonight; Still nothing. Immediately after I loaded thumbjam IAA up in the same track and that works.
I don't own MultiTrack Studio, but first thing I'm thinking is - if your goal is recording MIDI from GuitarCapo+, would you then need IAA? First thing to check to record MIDI is to choose destination MultiTrack Studio and that the correct MIDI out channel is set in GuitarCapo+. Could that be a lead?
@tonappas
I now started trying some finger picking with guitarcapo+ and I having a bit of trouble. It seems I have to be really careful about the way I touch the strings. When I go to pluck one I have to be sure I'm not touching the screen. Other times it plays the last note played or maximum velocity or simply gets stuck.
I'm I the only one experiencing this?
Thank you
Great app by the way.
@Macao95 Thank you!
There is a button named "PO". When turned off a tap on a single string will decide the note length (it stops when the finger is leaving the string). When on the note will "Play Out". A swipe on either all, some or a single string will always detect the speed and adjust the velocity of the note(s).
So, when fingerpicking setting PO on should make it easier
Yes. I have it toggled but that doesn't relate to my problems...
Thank you

The midi track is already in MTS, and I'm trying to render that with IAA in Capo. I looked on the MTS forum and this appears to be a problem experienced by other users (With Capo and some other apps) too. Not sure if the source of the problem is MTS or not. Thanks.
I could not figure out how to use a chord I built. In fact, I can save the new chord with the + icon, but the map icon does not do anything, and I cannot find the saved chord in the catalogue afterwards.
Anyone who could get this to work?

Thanks for the info. Another lead might be making sure that MTS sends MIDI to GC on channel 1, GC set to receive from MTS and that Pad Mode is turned off. And of course background audio turned on (as you confirmed)

It should work by saving the chord (by giving it a key and note). It should appear under "My Chords" when configuring a chord button. It sounds like a ghost that shouldn't be there. Any luck if you save twice with the same chord name?
@tonappas
Tried it again today, and now it works, even the folder button. Must have been some initialization stuff maybe. Thanks for the explanation!
Just got Guitarcapo+ and I have a question. The chord builder feature is just what I've been looking for, as I sometimes create some weird chords on guitar and it makes it easy to play them on Guitarcapo and send it to keyboard/synth apps via Audiobus. But the chords on Guitarcapo just fall too short and stop too quick. Strings do not ring to natural death and stop as if I pluck the them with the strumming hand. It's the same in PO mode. Haven't seen one but, is there a setting where the strings vibrate to a natural fade out?
There is sustain buttons on each side of the strumspeed slider that you can hold to avoid the the Note Off to send from GuitarCapo+. This is not connected to the string animation though. See the attached image
@tonappas
Oh, missed those buttons. Thank you! Solved
Great app BTW.
Is there a way to push the sustain once and have it hold? I was using Synthecaster to control GuitarCapo to play a lead - and sometimes wanted to bend a note and hold for a couple bars but GCapos sound would only play for the first little part if the bend. It's like the sample needed to be about 2 seconds longer. Since I'm controlling from another app - I can't push and hold down the sustain button in this case. Maybe I've overlooked and there is a hold?

The reason for this is the length of the samples in GuitarCapo+. It is on the list of potential improvements
How can i "save" and later load up a set of chords of my choice ? I can save new edited Chords but there is no way to save a Set List of Chords for a Song is that correct?
The SW is amazingly inspiring beside that.
A Feature Request of mine would be also that i can add chords from the ChordChart direkt to my Fav or a Song Chords List. Still the Chord scroller is good in the main Window but if i am exploring chords it would be much easier to add them then from inside the CC Menu. Either by tapping on a tiny "add" Font or a "pick and drop" function.
