And still doesn’t have MIDI in.

  • I was travelling and missed a sale on an iPad-only app because I didn't have my iPad with me. I had my Macbook and iPhone. Is there anything I can do about this, short of buying an iPad mini for travel? (That's a joke, don't berate me, please!)

It’s always struck me as strange that the AppStore doesn’t allow app purchases if it isn’t compatible with the actual device you’re accessing it from, so unhelpful. No idea whether there’s a workaround I’m afraid @plragde, Maybe someone else will know?

I think - but never tested it and verified the full process - the trick is to gift the app to yourself. You can do this in the share menu.

Thats a good idea, then you have the code for when you get home. Never tested it either, but sounds plausible. What about purchasing in one country and redeeming in another?

Ive been curious about sending an app as a gift to a friend in another country, but wasn’t sure how that would work? Does anyone know if that a straightforward process? Just send as a gift?

The gift idea is good in theory but I don't see how it can work. If an app is iPad only, you won't be able to find it in the iPhone AppStore, therefore you won't be able to share it, and won't be able to gift it. No? I don't use iPhone, so not easy for me to check this, but the OP can easily check it and report back.

For gifting - it could really only work if you ask someone near you who has an iPad to gift you the app. You could give them cash to do it. Anyone you trust where you are?

  • If you look up an iPad only app on AppRaven using your phone and then hit the price, it’ll bring you to it in the AppStore, and it seeeems you can gift it from the share button? 🤷🏻‍♂️

  • Can anyone else still see the FAC Bandit bundle? I’m in the UK so it could be region specific. Am a bit annoyed as according to AppRaven Bandit 2 was v cheap on preorder. As an existing owner of the original Bandit I would have jumped on that.

I think… If you can find a direct link to the iPad app page through AppRaven, you can go to the page, but the purchase is greyed out and unavailable to buy, just like I can go to a Mac App page on my iPad, but the buy/download button greyed out. Not certain though.

Not seeing the Bandit bundle anymore, at least in the States. Maybe a temporary bundle, it could always come back.

    On website:
    MIDI (coming soon)
AUv3 host MIDI note input with velocity mapping
    Host transport sync (tempo, play/stop)
Internal sequencer generates MIDI note events
AUv3 Audio Unit Plugin (coming soon)
Use Ripple as a plugin inside iOS DAWs
Shared models and views with standalone app
Host-controlled sequencer mode with bar-boundary sync

Another premature vibe release. We're drowning under them 😆
