The new timbre select works real slick and I am liking it for easy new patch creations!
I can make noise I like with Annie but when selecting/scrolling through things I do catch myself (heresy!) feeling it can be a bit samey.
That is what is nice about the timbre lay outs. I prefer to choose something further down the list if not from another timbre category all together to get more of the variations needed for something different and to my liking. Some of the timbres that neighbor each other on the timbre list are only small or depend on changing the horizontal orbit path can also be of help when attempting a new patch from an old one.
@Accent, regarding the Richard Devine expansion, this is from the animoog store description, "This pack also includes 43 new Timbres, almost doubling the sonic vocabulary of Animoog. "
Here is a detailed list of presets and timbers:

It's a pitty Moog have not allowed imports copy/paste of waveforms into this yet, that would have really brought this back into step with synths like Nave.

They do, detailed description is on their website....via iTunes or copy paste
Anyway, some people think that changing timbers doesn't work, because they probably are not doing it right...? Holding left part and tapping waveform on the right should do it...
The selected waveform will change name (on the left) if done correctly...
I hope it helps to some, I struggled for 2 days until I found a video by dubspot on the subject;-)
Ah... thanks @soundklinik. I get it now.
Anyway to preview what each Timbre actually sounds like as/when you are adding it on the Timbre page? Otherwise I find i'm just kindof adding random timbres through guess work.
Yes, you can in fact preview the timbres by holding down the timbre selection instead of just selecting it.
Thanks @Tritonman2. I'll try that.
Also the 4 track recorder works once you connect to internet, open Animoog, (then you can cut internet and it will stay working, until you close Animoog)...weird workaround
BTW, do the extra banks ever come on sale?
