  • @kitejan Haven't checked them out yet, but will and soon. Very impressed with your generosity (of spirit as much as with .NSPs :).

@syrupcore Appreciate that. Funny but all this hot NS chatter led me to putting it on my desktop for the first time and getting quite an odd feeling looking at the familiar UI on The Big Screen. A little weird actually.

Think I will scurry back to the touch 'n' feel place just as soon as I can get out of this office and back to my studio (which in this house means getting up from behind this desk and walking across to the sofa... :). Look forward to stumbling about with whatever scraps you can send along...

  • @syrupcore Straight into the dropbox. Thank you guv'nor. I am now not at a loss what to do with tomorrow (as if :).....will make good studying. Truth be told I'm still sniffing and slogging -happily- through the first one, but I've had a few ideas for this....

  • Does anyone have or know where I could find a really convincing 303 patch for Eden?

I've seen a thread about it on the nano forum but no actual patch.

    Any help appreciated.

  • I don't know of one specifically but you might try contacting the people who posted soundcloud examples in this thread: http://forums.blipinteractive.co.uk/node/1445

Or sample one from bassline or rebirth or something.

  • Thanks @syrupcore. Guess I better join that forum!

  • Can probably contact them via SoundCloud too.

  • @Matt_Fletcher_2000 and @funjunkie27 as anybody thought of starting a series of tutorial type threads about sound engineering, fx and whatnot? With basic principles, debating uses etc. I'm always looking to learn more and I'd bet a lot of others are.

  • @knewspeak - I'd personally love a thread or two about some of the more technical skills of music production / sound engineering / fx.

I struggle with things like how to use EQ, compressors, limiters etc properly. I just have zero background in this so I'm basically just wiggling knobs and trying to hear what sounds best. But then im mostly on Sony studio headphones too. So it's even more hit and miss!

Really I need to study up on this stuff - but you know...time/laziness and the fact that I just want to make new music all gets in the way!

  • SOunds like a good idea @knewspeak, however there are several others on the forum that are better suited for this than I am. I'd be happy to contribute and learn though.

  • Youtube is chock full of mixing tutorials.

  • @syrupcore Thanks for the NSP shares. Good stuff!

  • Sure. And thank you.

  • I too am a novice, but eager to learn, sometimes it's good to jump in the deep end, but it's far better to have a guide, and the video's out there, yes, an excellent resource I know, but as to where to start and the path to follow, this I do not know, but I just thought a series may help us all, at whatever level, with discussion and posted links to informative videos, could even open new ways of doing things to even the wisest amongst us.

  • I've been neglecting NS for years until I read you could sample into it on another thread - gave it a go and it worked perfectly, so might start using it again.

I prefer the Gafget synths personally, but being able to sample into the NS pads is a very handy feature.
