    Still slightly surprised not many, if any apps have copied the midi editing features. They make so much sense.

    NS1 was the first program I ever made a basically complete song in. I never really dove into 2, still thinking about it though.

    I never tried it and didn’t know it was removed from the AppStore in 2022. It seems a lot of apps disappear.

    Beatmaker 2 was heavily inspired by NanoStudio 1 and I was pretty bummed when BM3 didn't improve on the concept but instead tried to re-invent everything it and made it worse in almost every possible way...

    There is another iOS app that took a lot from the NS2 sequencer, which I won’t mention, but that app knows who he is. I think we in the iOS music scene are realizing just how fortunate we were to get so many great apps, and can see how sad it is that so many apps are either abandoned or removed from the AppStore. It all makes me a bit leery about the future, and all the more appreciative of the prolific devs that churn out great apps.

    I don't think you need to be so coy. The developer of Xequence 2 is very upfront about being inspired by NS2's excellent sequencer. X2 was never remotely trying to be a competitor.

    This ... i pretty much loved BM2 (there was era when i leaved NS1 a was using fully BM2 only .. BM3 was for me massive disappointment

    If they had just added AUv3 support to BM2 I would have been much happier. I remember being on the BM3 beta and thinking what the hell is this?! The linear workflow is all but gone with pattern based sequencing front and center. I still use both, BM3 took so much longer for me to wrap my head around.

    Cannot recall any guaranteed way of backing up the IAPs unfortunately
