@ant5of12 Do you think it would be possible for midiweb to open local html files? At the moment Microsoft edge is the only browser that supports this on iOS. It is handy for some library- and patch editors that have been made like this Roland se02 patch editor:

Yes! I have this working for macOS at the moment… need to think a little bit more how this would work for iOS because file access is a bit more restricted…
@Butterfrog - Do you imagine this working with the Files App, opening a folder containing a static website build? How would you like it to work on iOS? (iPhone+iPad presumably?)

@ant5of12 thanks for replying!
Yeah. That could be a possibility! With Microsoft Edge all I have to do is use the files app to browse to the file (where ever it is located and then share it with Edge and it opens it. I can imagine a dedicated folder for midiWeb browser to house different html's would maybe be more practicall for midiWeb itself, although I am not a developer so my opinion is based on nothing but guesses
@ant5of12 Any plans on a AUv3 version. There’s not many of these about on iOS I know Drambo has a web browser. Can the app send midi out or is it just in for now ? Would love to be able to use this for example to get midi out. I suppose it’s down to the individual devs of the web pages really.

MIDIWeb has a virtual MIDI out yes. There’s an option (currently pretty hidden away!) if you show the Musical Typing keyboard, the press the Settings cog, you’ll see MIDI Settings. ‘Echo MIDI’ should forward WebMIDI to the MIDIWeb virtual MIDI source, which means you can use it with AUM etc.
Ok, we’ll see what can be done 🙂… maybe anything in the “Sites” folder inside the App’s Shared MIDIWeb app folder could be accessible like you say?
Sweet wasn’t aware great stuff.
That would be fricking awesome and probably work like a charm!
There’s an interesting post in the Facebook (private) group “Artiphon Orba and Instrument 1 User Group” where a very thoughtful person has posted a link to a web app called Orba Console, which is for using a web browser to interface with an Orba 2 device. I’m going to try it out on my PC with my Orba 1 and also see if I can get it to work using the MIDIWeb app on my iPad.

I use Brave browser on my iPhone primarily because of the pop ups and security- the test light version shits out a lot- but it's by far better than safari imo.
