Deveoping for ios 8 seems a bit odd given all of the problems it creates for upgrades. If ios 8 worked smoothly already all the way around fine, but given all of the many problems being reported with the upgrade for users it does not make sence fro a user point of view at least.
Have to say though, that the new Soundprism Electro looks very cool with a few nice UI additions.
how much will cost to buy Live, then Massive and few other pieces and then update it all in a year.. never mind. Wont be a part of that debate. Maybe I'm blind or won't see 'other' things
So it calls Soundprism Electro, cool.. can't wait
Too late lol maybe and maybe not.

Massive I got free because I already owned Maschine Micro, and my DAW is Logic which cost £149 a couple of years ago, still going strong, and does more than several hundred quid's worth of apps put together. Maschine is probably 3 years old now and they still send free updates and the occasional plugin, such as Massive. The version of Live I have came free with a mixer or something. I have an MS20 that I bought new for £300 and still works perfectly nearly 35 years later.
My spend on iOS music apps is comparable to what I've spent on my desktop software setup, but I can live with that. The point is that it's more than a '1 dollar app' investment and when I have to delete purchases that don't work (iMPC Pro), don't get Audiobus or iOS updates so no longer fit in my workflow, or are abandoned for 'new' versions (Beatmaker) it turns the iPad into a very expensive platform to work on.
Ok with you if I'm allowed to feel a bit miffed about that? If you're serious about making music on the iPad then you'll find that in a few years time you'll have spent more than 1 dollar. Most apps only work as part of a workflow jigsaw of other apps - there is no 'do everything' sampler, for example. SP Pro doesn't include a multitrack or drum machine, you need other apps to complete the picture.
+1 for gospel voicings.
While you're at it, can you add a 'Play like Dennis Montgomery Mode'? thx.
Very shiny. Christmas list. Gospel chops, what a great name for something, almost anything....

And this was surprising?

I'm all for gospel voicings but I just want to make sure the devs know I'm talking about gospel soul there is a big difference (not that you didn't know ) but I wouldn't want them to skip the soulful and funky for the vanilla stuff you know what I mean, like takin it to church is cool and all but I want them to capture the taking it from church to the soulful funky and freaky get down.
first half of this clip is more what I'm talking about, getting away from r&B and getting more into soul and funky soul and gospel soul.
That's already in there. It's always the note on the left side of the lowest row of the chord you're playing. If it's a small letter, it's minor, if it's a capital letter, it's major and if it's in the top row of the screen it's a diminished chord.

It is when you buy an app on the day of release, expecting it to work like it does in the shiny trailers. We know better now, of course.
Also, if you don't want to miss the launch (which you most likely won't if you're frequenting this forum) you can sign up to our newsletter.

Dude, you're out of line. I've never launched any app that didn't work. You're just grumpy. Be grumpy somewhere else, please.

Erm, did I mention your app there? That was in response to the iMPC Pro comment. If you read my posts you'll see I've heaped praise on your apps.
wrong thread lol sorry
My point was the company (and the partner with the name recognition) that makes impc pro has an established track record now of apps that are shiny on the surface and unfinished underneath that surface. Which wouldn't be such a problem (and in the scheme of life, it's not a problem at all, many other ways to do the same thing) if the underneath part got fixed before a new shiny thing was released. Let's face it, new stuff is exciting, making videos is exciting, fixing the underbelly is far less exciting but also part of the deal. Since it's not true of many other ios apps, it points to the company involved. That's why I skipped that app and any other they have been involved in since I have one of their apps that doesn't fulfill it's promise fully, despite them being well aware of the issues.
Anyway, it's all good. There are many other apps I absolutely love, and have no problem supporting developers who do good work, they deserve to be paid well for giving me very affordable tools that let me do my job. As an example, iSEM has done about 100 gigs with me so far, which WAY more than makes up for the 9.99 it cost me. And also way more than Makes up for the 9.99 spent on a similar synth that isn't reliable enough to use on gigs.
In conclusion, If that is my worst problem in my life then life is really good. It's not my biggest problem, but life is still really good.

Hey @Sebastian, Thanks, I am aware of those positions though. I was meaning that if you randomly placed 3 fingers in non consecutive positions, like Root, 2nd and 5th for a sus chord, it would display the flavour(sus, m7 etc) and it's inversion. But like I noted later on, it's a pretty redundant idea really.
Good luck with the Electro.
@Sebastian said:
Just to clarify... So SoundPrism Electro won't be universal...
But will the mini version carry all features from the big bro?
@mrufino1 said:
Nice.

It won't have all of the features of the iPad version but it might have features that the iPad version doesn't have. We just like to adjust the interface of the phone version to the differences in how it's going to be held by users. So we might do away with some buttons that would be hard to control on a device that's usually held like a game pad instead of like tablet.
