I miss their amp releases.
I like a new amp as much as anyone. But I don't know if there's much going on that is very different from what I have. Is there room for improvements or have we reach emulation perfection? I don't know but I can't think of anything else I want. What new amps would you like to see? It feels a bit like there is nothing more I want. Maybe a nice Chris Cornell ➗13 setup.
I use a small stock of Nembrini amp sims exclusively. I occasionally try just about everything else that comes out, but never have found anything that suits me as well as my Nembrini favorites.
I can't think of any other amps I would want or need from anyone. I'm covered.
With all the buzz around NAM 2, butt loads of free captures, etc, I'd really be doing some soul searching if trying to make money building amp sims these days. I can see why they've tried putting out an emulation of an outboard mastering thingy. I'm not sophisticated enough to appreciate the difference between all these more subtle outboard warmers, etc. so I'm not the target market there either.
I think the only way forward for developers in this market is to invent new, unique FX, like pedal makers started doing. Modeling old stuff just doesn't seem viable anymore. Just my two cents ...

Clipping is (or can be...) really interesting. You can do it stupidly simple with the most basic math, or you can do it some other way. Pretty sure the Nembrini devs are in the latter camp. I'd love to know what's different about this one, simply because I find it interesting
I think also the trouble with modelling old stuff is that you rarely find two instances of old stuff things that sound the same. So there's always going to be "that guy" that says, "nah, doesn't sound anything like my old thing"
I had one old(ish) amp in my collection, a '76 Vibrolux, and I swear, it sounded different to me pretty much every time I powered it up after it had been moved. I called it my Fengshui Vibrolux.
I'm scratching my head over the viability of modeling all these outboard emulations for their sound "warming" and "coloring".
What is the market? Who but an ever thinning pool of oldsters who used or lusted after the hardware ages ago? I can kind of see emulations of super famous gear used on super famous recordings for a small slice of music makers, but more esoteric stuff like this? It's very hard to imagine there being more than a handful of people who still care.
I have a hard time imagining people collecting this stuff like they do amp sims. I mean, you can sucker us guitar players in every time by making us think we'll finally sound like SRV, EVH, etc. But how many people are polishing their final mixes at that level of subtleness? Who's thinking "Ahh! If I can just get that Lavry Blue sound on this mix, I'll be a rock star!"?
I think the "emulation" market for FX is a dead end. Tough luck. The hard work of innovation, is the only way forward IMO.

Specific emulations of what different brands of guitar strings sound like when played after being coated in different brands of violin rosins, that's an unfilled niche for sure yo

Nembrini makes quality stuff and always has straight-up marketing IMO. I hope they can continue to find successful products to market. It's gotta be tough right now.

Nembrini has a nice desktop sale going on. I’d like to see them get into hardware. A tonex type pedal loaded with Nembrini amp and pedal sims. Oh hell yeah!
Well WTF, I'm talking to ghosts...
I’ve stopped using the Nembrini amps as I’ve got a preamp I really like but I am using their IR loader and I really like that. Got to say I’m really happy with the results using a couple of free IRs (I really must try buying a couple to see if there’s a noticeable difference). I love that it’s got a power amp sim built-in as that seems to be missing from some other IR solutions. I also make use of the built in EQ. I haven’t used the compressor or bass enhancer but that’s just because I’ve already got a compressor in the chain and I like my guitars bass-lite. I’ve not tried a bass through it yet so that may well be when I start. That app as a pedal I’d be interested in (a built in noise gate would be nice too, strange the amps have them but not the IR loader).
This Blue Clipper app I’m kinda interested in but I don’t know the original bit of kit. I need all the help I can get with mixes but I’m more likely to make things worse unless it’s just got one knob on the front
