There's nothing about display settings other that light/dark in my settings menu
IPad text size settings! Nothing to do with the app's settings
IPad Settings → Display & Brightness → Text Size, adjust until it looks normal
One of the deepest synths I’ve seen on iOS
Sometimes people are too quick to judge. I'm sure we've all been guilty of that at times. But also, the presets really could be better, pity the dev doesn't collab with a sound designer prior to release. Even more important, the AppStore description is terrible, it doesn't mention anything about the interesting features of the synth, no mention of per note expression etc. Madness...
I do wish the modulation was actually visualized on the knobs.
Got it, thanks for that. So I have to change the global setting for one synth and ruin all other readability. Not going to be able to do that.
You can do per app settings too using control-center, just add the text-size widget first.
Considering how much music I’ve released commercially using custom presets I made with Iceworks synths , I’d be more than open !
The dev has been criticized before about the presets he ships with his synths.
I should say his apps have been criticized for the presets they ship with. Which strange maybe
(As a side note many great banks by talented forum comrades have been made available for his instruments, maybe this one too eventually)

it does sound great, and I appreciate the extremely thorough feature set (macros, arpeggiator, "MPE", modulation system)
you can tell this is mature development from an experienced synth builder.
but it is also a subtractive synth with the usual waveforms and signal flow, it's hard for me to get excited by it when I have so many of these already.
I think the resonator is one of the things that you don't find in most subtractive synths. The main thing for me is that I really like the inbuilt mpe keyboard, it's very easy to get mpe patches going in this. That said, I really wish I could lock parameters (like my modulation settings for example) so they wouldn't change when I change presets. There are a few other things that could be improved imo, but this is, for the most part, a pleasure to use.
yes the resonator and AM/FM settings do provide a bit of extra innovation, the resonator is a very iconic IceWorks sounds, too.
the MPE is fun to play with, but I tend to sequence and not play my synths so it is less of a draw for me.
I see this as the flagship subtractive synth for him, largely matching the feature set of Nambu. I still feel I'd reach for LaGrange or Kronecker first if I owned this though
I'll continue to play with it, maybe it surprises me!
