So do I. For the uninitiated like me, what elements suggest “TripHop” vs. other categories?
Hmmm, good question. I always thought TripHop was electronics over a HipHop beat, and a certain vibe. ☺️ Of course others are welcome to give their interpretation.
Also @Schmotown TripHop often uses sampling techniques, and sometimes not. My favorite TripHop artists are Thievery Corporation, though I rarely sound like them and end up sounding like myself, which is a good thing. ☺️
