  • True. And i never regret having both (how could i with Auria not having Midi) but first of all i want to get rid of this jumping and multiple copying files between apps, blowing up my storage as well (Auria currently 17,1 GB and Cubasis 11,2GB on my iPad).Auria Pro seems to be the first that serves ALL my needs and a new Major update for Cubasis (2.0) wil cost money as well (fair enough of course) but i don' see the point anymore in spending money on both to advance.

  • Im leaning towards having both actually. Has anyone here used the video import?

  • I keep thinking that Cubasis is more for electronic/EDM (synths & drum machines), and that Auria is more for micing up an amp or kit (acoustic/electric) music, but that's probably not a true statement. Nothing is absolute here.

I think your gut is correct at least with regards to initial design decisions.

@Tritonman2 What is it that Cubasis isn't doing for you that's making you investigate other options?

So, Thomas, that is what I want to know, please explain more about not being picky with mixing? I have plenty of nice sounding effects that do what I want them to do but are there mixing options not available in Cuabasis? I am cringing at the thought of getting used to a new work flow can you tell? lol I almost want to try Auria but I am having a hard time falling off this log. A little voice inside keeps saying do it at the same time another is saying wait.

Looks like other(more knowledgable folk) have already stepped-in. :)

Has anyone used a Griffin Studio connect with this? It would be what I would use for my interface. I found a page in support that says it does so that answers that.

I bought Auria and updated my iPad to use it, way back when. I don't use it because it doesn't sequence midi or warp or have on onboard synth or sampler. (Uh oh time for new iPad) I also have Cubasis and don't use it because it doesn't have an onboard sampler, and the midi sequencing and file management aggravate me. I use BM2 and MTS.

Ive been missing the effects suite I bought in Auria, I have most of those plugs on PC and they are gorgeous there also of course. The coming synth is also pretty cool on PC.

  • I'm just an acoustic guy, two pencil condensers on my guitar and a vocal mic, and cubasis works better for me. I don't know what I do wrong with auria, but I love the sound I get with cubasis and it don't talk back!

That's what I use. Works like a charm. Headphone out can use a little help, but that's not Auria's fault :) Auria's aces, never tried Cubasis ...

  • @Bootsy You are a wise and/or lucky man. Most of us are chasing, just over that hill, for a set-up that works or we're happy with you. You have one :)
