I was hoping for 50%....then I will get it

  • FWIW, one of the noii.se co-founders said on FB:

"Just to be clear, the sale is based around NAMM - so its just for the next few days. noii.se wont normally do sales on the app, but its a special occasion."

  • I AM MARKETING MAN HEAR ME ROAR!

  • If anybody from noii.se wants to hire me, I'm available. :D

  • Downloaded it yesterday, for the full price. No regrets at all. Worth every cent.

  • Thanks for pointing that out....been waiting for the sale!

  • Looking at this and Korg Module currently. Will have to see what Namm brings still though. By the way, I think it officially starts in less than forty minutes from now.

  • 25% off might almost cover the recent increases for us in the old UK

@monzo How is the old UK? Still there? Miss the old place. Everyone I meet here in Texas when out buying cow in the supermarket thinks I must surely know the Queen and that all of my friends and family live in this cottage and have done forever:

I'm in Mid Wales (or 'Wales, England as your American mates probably know it) and it's ruddy cold! Funnily enough the hills behind my house look a bit like those in your picture, though my house doesn't look like the house....

I had the same thing when I visited the States. One shop owner, when learning I was living in Berkshire (at the time) was convinced I would know Lord and Lady La-De-Dah (who owned most of it) and had recently visited their shop. They refused to believe I didn't move in such circles though I did manage to convince them I was Motorhead's Lemmy

  • It's true that I've spent longer than I would have budgeted for explaining UK/Great Britain/British Isles etc etc., but I think of that as the price of admission for being a Brit and one offset by the thirty or forty IQ points our American cousins unconsciously add to our projected mental capacity as a result of the sound of the accent etc. Plus being able to speak in paragraphs.

I found the constant 'how are you today/have a nice day' thing grated a bit against my dark, Celtic, miserable persona. After pretending everything was fine and dandy for a few weeks I told one horrified shop assistant how I was really feeling, though after recovering she still managed a 'have a nice day sir'. Here in the UK we're used to a surly grunt at best.

Now i can afford some gruel!

  • Dammit, think this one has just earmarked the tenner I had intended to chuck on the discount Gadget iap's that cropped up earlier.

  • You should surely buy this.

  • I surely did & then spent most of the night being impressed by it.

  • You guys that have Turnado and Flux:FX....'elp

What does flux do that turnado doesn't and vice versa..?..any comparison?

Can flux/fx do soundscapes better than turnado? I find turnado more "beat" oriented?
(But I don't know turnado well yet)..

  • @soundklinik Flux FX has the sequencer which allows you to have another added dimension to how you modulate your effects. I feel you're able to have more control with Flux FX and the user interface is easier to use. Another big difference is being able to control the amount of input signal, the output level, and the dry/wet mix which can make quite a bit of difference in the output signal. With the sequencer there is a control for how smooth the transition is between sequence steps.

  • I think you can get subtle things out of Turnado. Like you though, I haven't got passed the beat mangling side of Turnado yet. It's on my to learn list. Flux:FX, however, has me sorted straight out of the box. It's got mangling but also just a great quality. I play a good nylon stringed guitar, and I can still hear the quality of sound with Flux, it just gets added to. That's rare on iOS i think (fab filter plug ins aside).

Thank you both, really good info...I was afraid you say that,... makes it hard not to get it:-)

    Edit...I did cave in:-)

  • It would be sweet to have Flux as a plug-in within Auria.

  • Utilised at last nights jam......most excellent. Seemed to be very stable on ipad2 whilst running DM, Drumjam & Funkbox through it, switching FX & the app controls were very playable. Some distortions but think that was down to me pushing the levels rather than the app. This is a fine thing !

  • There seem to be two apps both called flux and both by Belew, but at two completely different prices. This should not be happening. I feel it's not worth risking buying either, under the circumstances.

  • The one everyone is referring to in the forum is Flux:Fx...

FLUX:FX by Adrian Belew - the professional audio multi-effects app by NOIISE
    https://appsto.re/us/-jWq4.i

  • Flux fx in the app search will only bring up flux fx. That is the one and man, what a one! This is just like turning all of my existing music production apps into super apps. For a real nice price too! I need more time to dive into this and watch a few tutorials again but, WOW , the sounds are infinite I believe.

I tried loading some vocal samples into Turnado last night and got some great results, the reverb is really nice and then when you add in the other effects can venture off into new sonic territory. I always thought Effectrix was better for beat orientated stuff...

  • Thanks to Mr. johnnygoodyear for getting me pumped for this one. Flux fx just took over the top effects posistion in my growing arsenal. I wanted this as soon as I saw it but forgot until John reminded me of just how impressive it was!

  • I'm tempted to buy it, but a recent itunes reviews says it brings the ipad 4 (which I have) to its knees? I've seen reports here that conflict with that though.
