Nice little Egoist update
Import from Audioshare, handy considering it's sample slicing.
Also, export to Audioshare, Dropbox, and Soundcloud.
Thank you Sugar Bytes.
(I pestered them to add Audioshare support)

Thanks Sugarbytes for hooking up Audioshare
Thanks @1P18 for pestering Sugarbytes to hook up Audioshare
Thank you both then. Long live AudioShare.
I forget how fun this app is, and am reminded after an hour zooms by while using it.
High five Sugar Bytes! Makes working within Egoist just one step faster now
gah, nm
Tried using Audioshare to import samples both from within Egoist & directly from Audioshare but it only shows the file name of the sample with no audio !!! Am I doing something wrong here or do we have a bug. Appreciate your comments/help.
I tried it during the beta with no issues. I only did 16bit 44.1khz files though.
Thanks ChrisG for your help 16 bit 44.1khz samples work fine. Going to have some fun with this update. Many thanks once again.
This (for me) is a classic two steps forward/one step back app. Some things work very well, others not so much. All to do with this user's input I should add. V. Happy with the AS update.
That's a very welcome update, and thanks to @1P18 for the pester.

I did the same thing, and it looks like it worked! high five.
the new requirement for apps: does it have AS? if yes, proceed with interest; if no, stop.

That's me too - no AS/AB, no go matey.
Another nice little update today, now an AB3 midi sender
Nice to see an Egoist update. Love the app!
Did anyone else notice that the app now eats up twice the space? I don't see any new content inside the app either - unless I missed it. The pre-update app was about 425mb or so in size and the updated app weighs in at 920mb (both clean without any of my additional content). Makes you wonder.
Interesting and I’m curious to know why
Me three.
I sent an email asking them why but no answer so far. If I hear from them I will post it.
so you can use egoist to send midi notes to other apps? that would be sweet
The bass sequencer has always sent midi data out to other synths
oh awesome! i didn’t know that. thanks
This works so well. Just did a session with it in AB3. Entrancing.
Tons of new optimized graphics for the big boy per chance? That would still be quite a jump though.
Looks the same to me.
Looks lovely on the Big Boy....
Egoist is a top 5 app for me and I appreciate the update but...
This one needs to go on a diet!
They could start by making the included content optional?
Have they bundled any new samples with it? That might have expanded its waistline
I emailed them, too, and got this response...
"thanks for the report!
We accidentally uploaded an installer with a wrong sample files format
(waves instead of M4As).
That's why the size of Egoist unfortunately increased with our latest update.
Sorry for this! We will of course come up with a new version where the
samples get back their M4A format."
Great news! Thanks for reporting back.
This has just had another update, with a lower (half the last one) installation size.
