  • step poly arp makes for the ultimate arp partner together with Sunrizer. I wish Step poly had more patterns though and pattern sharing also.

  • Great sounds on sunrizer, looking forward to the next one.

  • I'm only on an iPad 2 until the current Apple iOS/hardware issues get resolved (probably iOS9 and iPad Air 3). I'm glad you are not sacrificing sound quality, but yet still trying to support older machines. :-) Either way, I'll be buying this one!!! :-)

  • The new app looks amazing. I'm just at a bit of a crossroads in the last few months particularly because the new "stuff" out there isn't made with my device (iPad2) in mind anymore. I don't really blame developers for no longer supporting devices that Apple doesn't even sell in stores anymore. But we have so many high quality synths like Animoog and the products from Korg that were created at a time when the iPad2 (or 3) was the flagship "fast" device. Not only does the new stuff require something faster (not surprising), but the older stuff seems to become more problematic to run as you are pressured to update iOS versions.

This rant has nothing to do with BeepStreet, obviously, and Sunrizer may be the best example of a high powered synth that still works well on my device.

Funnily enough there are three of us in this thread on iPad 2's, which just goes to show why iPad sales are falling - we're hanging on to them for as long as we can!

Sunrizer works fine on my iPad 2, apart from a preset pad or two, so hopefully the new synth will work too. The dev will make more sales if it does!

  • I love sunrizer and look forward to this synth- sound quality trumping bells and whistles? Awesome.

I think iPad sales are lagging because the ipad2 still runs most apps just fine for folks not trying to make music. My wife is a speech therapist and is very happy with her ipad3, it gives her no problems at all with work or personal use apps. And my kids love there mini retinas and those should serve them for years.

For me, a musician, pushing my air 1, but it does everything I need so the air 2 was not on my radar.

Sorry to derail...looking forward to anything beepstreet makes. Solid and innovative.

  • Ironic isn't it? We are a relatively small user base who sometimes feel the peculiarites of our needs are not much considered or fretted over by Apple, but it turns out that we may also be one of the niche groups most ready and willing to follow them on their 'upgrade every year or two' if they offer us the features/capabilities we require. Whereas the mass can manage (and increasingly do) with previous models...

  • To be honest, I can still get by on mine for my musical endeavours. I would say only 20 percent or so of my current apps are struggling with the CPU, as long as I don't have too many running at once. I am missing out on some of the new, more powerful offerings, and I'd really like to use Auria, but I can certainly put up with it - particularly when I read about issues with the Air 2.

Obviously though I tell Mrs Monzo, our accounts department, a completely different story.

I'm hoping this new 'synth' will also include a built-in step/modulation-sequencer(1-64 steps) that allows automatisation of all parameters with option per parameter to either 'set' on step, or 'interpolate' between steps.

You're right. Unfortunately, even Roland doesn't includes the SH-101s great step sequencer into the SH-101 emulation for the System-1

It just occurred to me that it makes absolute sense, for the purpose of sync, to have a pc style daw + plugins set up instead of audiobus like patch bay. AB did make a lot of sense before IAA. Saying that, I could not see myself using IPad much if there were no AB. I'm definitely looking forward to masterpiece hoping it cqan be used standalone with all of my other apps like turnado, sunrizer and samplr plugged into it. I love AB but seems like at this point in time it's getting a bit hard to maintain with Apple screwing things up all the time.

Edit: sorry for this seemingly random post. Some posts in this thread made me think of using older devices as standalone synths but then realised that it's hard enough to get midi sync on one ipad. Ah, my brain!

  • I have no problems with it being just monophonic but only 1 Osc is a bit disappointing. The 101 has at least a Sub Osc and the ability to mix the waveforms.Although the Mini/Microbrute has a very interesting and complex 1 Osc architecture.Anyway,2 Osc and the ability to modulate the Cutoff&Osc with the other osc is where analog really shines (and most emulations fail) imo.And i agree that it would be great to have at least a simple 101 style sequencer.

  • Sunrizer is a total beauty! It is my backup synth to play live when my Zeta is acting up. It got me thru the worship service this past Sunday and was glad I could increase the poliphony as desired. What an awesome synth!

Sunrizer is my all time favourite synth app on iOS. I really wished Beepstreet would of made an update to iSequencer HD with the Sunrizer synth app built in. Anyway this new synth from Beepstreet sounds promising.

  • Don't get excited. Just bringing out an old thread from the cold case files.

I was actually searching for stuff on iSequence, which I have also just dug out and am enjoying substantially. It was an early app for me and I 'surpassed' it, but now I understand a lot more I also understand there's a lot more I can do with it. Yes, no IAA, no AB, but still...

Anyway, what about this other munga thingie everyone was so excited about back then?

  • And here I was getting excited! ;-) I honestly haven't heard anything more about it lately. It sure sounded great though! The filters especially! :-) I'd like to know if it is still being worked on too. :-)

  • It sounds like July or there a outs according to this .

Did he add a vco? was supposed to be single oscillator. Either way, cool news, July is now.

  • I want this badly, love the Sunrizer App and AU plugin.

  • It has acp, and that's good enough. Loops/ patterns can be exported. Had i sequence since day one and it's pretty good, although limited by today's standards

  • July my ass!

  • Hopefully they come up with a totally new approach and not a remake of some kind of old synth.

  • Sunrizer is one of my Favourite iOS Synths so this is bound to be pretty sweet...

Maybe we'll get an 'SH-01' on steroids :D

  • VST/AU is out and it's sounding juicy.

  • indeed it does ... when is it coming to ios ?
