  • You could just use simple subtitles, like the @redskylullaby vid for Dedalus.

  • Cheers guys @JohnnyGoodyear, @MoonWolf. I should give it another go. :)

  • Forgot, I did do a tiny teaser on vine before the release:

It is not much but.. :)

    Cheers

I finally got voice bot to load on an ipad 4 iOS 7.1.2.

It was crashing for me at the initial splash screen. It would stick at that screen and if I tapped the splash screen soon after it loaded this would cause the app to crash even though it was still open in the background.

I killed the app and launched it again and when the splash screen loaded I waited maybe 30 seconds before I tapped the screen and this time vbot loaded in the foreground. I have done this several times now so it does work. If you tap the screen too quickly it will crash but it will load if you wait a bit.
Not sure what it all means but if you haven't been able to get voice bot to work try waiting a bit before you tap the screen again.

  • Crashes on air 1 os7 here.

Back from the crash test site:

    1. Downloaded - started - stuck on splash - multitask kill
    2. Rebooted device - started - stuck on splash - multitask kill
    3. Started - waited 1 min - touched the robot - crash
    4. Started - touched the robot - working - multitask kill
    5. Started - touched the robot - crash
    6. Started - touched the robot - working again

You have a very touchy robot there @humbletune!

Cheers for the info. There must be something strange going on with the new sdk and ios 7 I think. This build has mainly been tested on ios 8 and I have not seen a single crash, no reports from beta testers either. Hopefully with the next build, I can get some reports together and investigate the issue.

[Edit] I think I just got the stuck on splash issue. That is a feature not a bug. It has been program to stop on the initial logo and starts when the user clicks the robot. Phew, one down at least. :) [/Edit]

    Thanks

  • In that case you probably should add something like 'touch me', 'play' or 'enter' on the splash screen because I didn't expect it at all and since not many apps have it people won't expect it. Unless it's a cheeky 'treasure hunt' type of thing.

  • Probably. :) I tend to go for minimalistic and uncluttered. It is not everyone's taste but I like it. Most days it makes me happy anyway.

    Cheers

  • We are willing but simple people ERik :)

  • I really appreciate the feedback. I hope I can get these crashes ironed out first and then look at improving the ux. I might be able to borrow a ios 7 device off a friend tomorrow night, so fingers crossed I can see something then.

    Cheers
