I am not sure about a count-in, but you can touch once on the bottom line of the score page to set the transport location. If you double click there it will start playing. If it is stopped, you can hit record without play and then start playing on the keyboard or hitting the drum pads and it will start recording at that location. It makes it super easy to get stuff together.

Edit: Just realized that you can set the transport location in the automation tab as well, so you can record the automation at the proper location easier. You can set the transport, hit record then move one of the sliders and it will start recording right away!

Also you can change out any of the fx items, you can even have 3 version of the same fx for each instrument if you wanted.

  • Not for me. Or not yet. At this point in the game, anything that's iTunes only makes it easy to take a pass. Unrealistic. If they indeed make good on their promise of AB/IAA (and at least copy) then will be happy to take another look.

  • For me it is soooo close to what I really like. Fingers crossed that they add the missing parts.

  • Is Audiobus and IAA really so difficult to integrate into new apps.? Just seems like a lot of new apps. such as Roland's Sound Canvas, Casio's CZ-1 and now this are being released without AB and IAA.

  • ...and now for the really great news from Image Line forum...

+1 for AudioCopy, AudioBus, InterApp Audio, background audio and 'open in' would be fantastic.

We plan to add all the basics people expect ASAP.

First step was to get the app across from Windows and launched.

    Regards Scott

  • The Sampling options need to be enabled. If so, this will sell like hotcakes!
The preset browser needs to have the option to remain open to allow preview of sounds, patches , etc...also to allow to be played live via a midi controller. This will be so useful for us that would like to use synths in a live situation.

  • Hi:Musikman I repost your opinion to GMM forum to make it loud!

  • Very nice app! hope it get AB/IAA full support and Audioshare Support. No regret to have it for fun

  • Really liking it so far, but no tap tempo?

  • Cool! This app has a lot of awesome potential.

  • This is a solid case of RTFM :))
If you swipe left/right on the top right part of the track ,you browse next/prev through the samples.

The note length and volume dragging is pretty good, but sometimes your finger that you put down to select the note blocks out the view of the note so that is is difficult to see how much it is changing, if that makes sense.

It does, thank you. It's sort of what I feared. HandlesForLife.

I found that if you drag a selection box around the note, touch a empty part of the selection box, then put down another finger you can modify it without your first finger getting in the way.

  • Nice to know what's on the horizon, thanks @Trueyorky, for the info, really hope this progresses well from FL, they've finally awoken to thing's Apple, still awaiting the port of Harmor for the Mac, not far away I hope.

  • Despite lack of AB, the iTunes thing and the workaday synth sounds, I'm really enjoying this thing and am producing stuff (song germs so far). I was looking for a sequencer...Well, now I know what a groove box is. I'm having fun working around its limitations and using it is making me think a bit differently about how to fill the space between the start and end of a piece. Some of the "complaints" below are probably down to user dumbness.

    No tap tempo

    Can't scroll selection

    Can't solo a track

    Switched-off tracks sometimes play anyway

Tone of drum hits is sometimes adversely and unintentially (?) affected when glitching

  • The more I play with this, the more I like it. Maybe it's just that its workflow suits me better than FLStudio Mobile, but probably (I think) because it's just more interesting as a musical tool.

This might sound like a daft thing to say, but is the (current) lack of AB support such a big deal, if you're going to endeavour to create tracks purely within the app ?

The swipe to audition sounds is pretty hit and miss though...

  • Another thought, it has an undo function - c'mon Korg, this is a pretty fundamental useful thing !

  • I think I figured out why they made some of their choices. I have the Windows app version of it and I can copy my songs and presets between them and they work perfectly and sound the same. The Windows version works exactly the same except you can use mouse and keyboard short-cuts as well. Funny thing is that the Windows one doesn't seem to play in the background either..... Might be just some setting I am missing, though.
