What is the most DISAPPOINTING APP you bought?

Animoog

Buzz kill for me.

I kept buying all the Animoog packs and IAA to the tune of $40 thinking maybe the next one will improve this noise box.

I held off for so long and finally went for it.

  • probably Electrify NXT

Just one buck, but Stylo-101 (Stylophone + SH-101).

    Added iMPC.

  • iMini sucks for being broken for so long.

  • In reality just 1 may have been too few.

I can name countless others. Some actually make me laugh to think how stupid the app was or how stupid I was for buying it.

Just about every synth except for Z3ta+, Thor, Nave, and Animoog. Those "Big 4" can do everything I want. The rest are redundant or sub-par. I'm not counting Galileo though since that's more of an organ emulator than a synth.

  • GlitchBreaks, way more clunky & restrictive than I had hoped

  • Now i get flamed but for me it was..... Nave and Auria....sorry!

  • in the thread: every app ever because different people have different opinions.

Yamaha Mobile Music Sequencer......wonky pissed up timing....by design apparently! wtf!

Electrify NXT would be a close second...abandoned just like the first one..........'fool me once' springs to mind...

iMPC Pro because it doesn't work and the developers couldn't care less, and Sparkle for making me partially deaf in one ear.

  • ....DM1.....Seline Ultimate...Voice Synth...TableTop...

  • I'm not sure right now, but I know in the last few months all the purchases I've made have been really great.

All those effects apps, ifretless bass, and so on.

  • "Electrify to Go" burned me the most, mainly because it was $8, one of my earliest ios purchases, and I disliked it as soon as I tried it. Must have been 2011.

  • FLUX:FX

But I really hope not for long, because it's a great app with great customer service. The automation sequencer just doesn't work in sync. I hope in the next update it wil be no longer disappointing.

  • There's at least 20 that I got free or for $1 that flew off of my device within minutes never to see the light of day again.

  • This thread just goes to show you that one persons medicine is another's poison

  • I actually don't think I've ever been disappointed in a music making app. Not all of them have been great, and a large amount I have deleted and don't even use, but disappointment has never entered into the equation.

I'm thinking trial by fire. :P

Probably Animoog because i don't like the layout, the way you load timbres is poorly implemented IMO.

Soundprism pro and electro; iMaschine; Grainproc; zMors modular; grain science; earhoof; LH grain; sequential; guitar capo+; photophore; thumbjam; phaserings; Hokusai; gumdrops; midiTTS. All would have improved my life if I hadn't bought or getted them.

  • Did I mention I am also very disappointed in the negotiations at Yalta (Stalin schooled them), my mother's refusal in recent years to make lemon meringue pie, and, in particular, with the way my wife will sometimes look at me with this quiet look of utter disdain when we are having dinner and I open my mouth?

  • Beatmaker 2.. Way too overrated imo.

  • Bassline. I regretted it within a few minutes of messing with it.

  • About every drum app I have ever purchased...

  • ...step poly arp...1 midi channel...are you kidding me!

  • Mosaik, the biggest pile of doing's in iOS musical existence!

...soundcloud (update)...wft were they thinking......Genome....just feels wrong....

  • Session Band (Rock and Blues), for which I asked Apple for a refund.
