Manualy speaking, Can record SPA note to Gadget if touch record button inside Gadget then flip to SPA to play keyboard. This is not What I want. What I want is press play and stop the Gadget directly from SPA, then Gadget's can record the note or stop the note. Of course Gadget needs red button standby on.
If you like Das Lauflicht, you'll love Koushion... Anyway SPA is my favorite app and at times my primary sequencer. By far my favorite and most useful app, to each his own I guess-!

For sync, Gadget needs one of these 2 options:
I added IAA to SPA for sync reason, but I can not force other developers to do it.
Without these, SPA can not sync with it.
Das has Send button and Das has Gadget shown as output device.
Yes, I understand, but it is a sequencer with start, stop, musical position, and can send Midi sync, SPA can not cause there is no notion of song start/stop, only notes input that are triggering the arpeggiator, SPA is a slave sync.

Now I understand it all. The only choice is to wait Korg to update Gadget further.
Wow the update did not fix anything here and perhaps worse, I can not even get spa to run stand alone or get it to midi up with anything else now!

You are welcome, I don’t know why there is so many issues with sync and iOS applications, Midi sync was used in the 80’s without any issue on hardware, and Midi sync out is far away more easy to develop than Midi sync receive, I don’t know why big companies like Korg does not implement it.
However, I’m aware of all complex things users can be confronted, and if SPA was a real sequencer with transport play, it will have sync out without any problem since beginning.

In case anyone is interested in syncing SPA to Gadget and has MidiFlow, here is a preset I setup

This way I've been playing my midi keyboard into SPA synced into Gadget......
Open the preset in Midiflow, Open SPA and Gadget, sync SPA to "MIDI master" Change to external Sync in Gadget.
You then start gadget playback in Midiflow (change bpm), SPA should say "sync" in yellow top left.
I love SPA and this has opened up Gadget for me again too
Its true you can play SPA into Gadget without syncing but its messy and easier to make mistakes that way, this has been the quickest way to set up a sync from scratch for me so far...until Korg gets their act together

I'm finding Midiflow useful for this, I hadn't used it much until now. It might be good to start a thread with some presets for it, seems there's a lot you can do with it, mapping different synths onto different parts of the keyboard and such-like, but I've barely touched it yet
Btw in SPA I'm finding that the Audiobus panel is stuck on, and has no hide option, does anyone else have this?
Not too much of a problem but I'd quite like to be able to see the names of the keys beneath when in Audiobus...
Hi Cambot,I had asked the Dev about the Audiobus panel being stuck on and he said its because of the way Apple implemented the info panel that slides up.I think that any app that has the Audiobus panel on the bottom acts the same .I just tried it with Cubasis with the AB panel set to bottom and sure enough....... There's no arrow to slide it down.Just another quirk.

That's one thing I quite like about IAA over Audiobus, inset panels don't get in the way, but then they have to be designed into the app...
