Great Seekbeats update.

  • Wow, why didn't I get Seek Beats until now? I'm loving it.

I find personally that it makes much nicer, smoother, more usable sounds than Elastic Drums.

And the randomising functionality is so clearly done.

Simply in terms of quick, interesting sound generation I've not got anything else quite like it. It's 8 synths, but then with the randomisation it's like multiplying each of those synth sounds by an infinite number.

    So good.

  • And I don't think the big update is even upon us yet... :D

  • True. It's such a great app. It feels a bit like cheating!

  • Yeah it's great. I'm torn between Seekbeats and Elastic at the moment. Seekbeats is more immediate to get into but then Elastic has great automation, effects and pattern sequencing. They both have great and slightly differing strengths....Looking forward to the update :)

  • Not sure if this has been mentioned already, but the new Loopy MIDI clock is like a dream with Seekbeats. Far and away the best experience I've had with Seekbeats and clock sync.

  • So I'm thinking of syncing Gadget to Seek Beats by syncing them both to loopy.

Only problem is that Gadget was glitching a bit while I had it playing at the same time as Seek Beats. This was probably because Seek Beats appears to have no background audio so I had run it in audiobus.

Sadly even on an Air1 on ios7 seekbeats + loopy + audiobus + Gadget seems to create gadget glitches. Although I might try airplane mode.

  • SeekBeats does have background audio. Tap the (i) button and it's on the upper left.

  • Thanks @taroface . Got it.

And actually it can send clock out directly to Gadget. Works very well. So all sorted. No problems.
