  • @kaikoo where are you seeing this?

    @Jocphone

    AppZapp Pro

  • Took a while to come round to the UK store. Thanks @Kaikoo !

    Thanks, waiting for Auria Pro/BM3

  • edited April 2015

    thanks. i picked it up. looks great.are the IAPs also on sale or is that reg price?

  • edited April 2015

    I don't have the IAP price, Cubasis IAP is really nice to have, no regreat! I remember I picked them up for $14 dollar somehow.

  • IAPs are 3.99 from 6.99

  • Don't forget to play around the Nanoloque and Microloque!

  • I have Auria, but am waiting for the Pro upgrade (which still hasn't started beta testing), so would you guys wait for that upgrade or buy Cubasis at the sale price for its midi functionality ?
    I suppose I'm asking is Cubasis worth the price if I already have Auria?

    This could be a very expensive day for apps, now that Cyclop is released...

  • ya! I am definately going to love Auria Pro. Cubasis is a very convenient DAW! I like them all! I don't believe any particular one platform suits everyone! Cubasis just only need a very sleek piano roll editor! The incoming 64 bit version is going to fill the expectation! May be?

    I have Cubasis and what I really love about it is that I can use Audioshare to load a Yamaha Style file as a .Mid file and it automatically separates all the midi tracks. I still haven't learned how to edit them but its nice to be able to do that. These edited midi tracks can be exported as a midi file and then renamed in Audioshare with the .Sty file extension. Then this file can be used in Midiband to play backing tracks.
    I really like Cubasis. I will definitely buy the IAP at this sale price.
    Auria Pro is taking long and so is Synthmaster, so this is an awesome deal. I think having both Cubasis and Auria is an amazing deal especially at this low price.
    Cubasis is worth every single penny.

  • thanks. well steinberg finally got my money today. :-) now we just waiting for korg to make some sales.

  • has anyone found use for IAP FX pack #2 yet?

    You're faster than the wind...

    Dear all,

    Due to the Frankfurter Musikmesse 2015 trade show, pricing on all Steinberg Apps will be reduced from April 15 to April 19, 2015.

    Cubasis is on sale for $29.99 (40% off the usual price), FX Pack 1 and FX Pack 2 are available through in-app purchase in Cubasis 1.9 for the special price of $3.99 each (regular price $6.99 each).

    Similar reductions are available for our other apps such as Cubase iC Pro, LoopMash HD, LoopMash and VST Connect Performer.

    Please follow this link to find all available Steinberg apps on iTunes:
    https://itunes.apple.com/gb/artist/steinberg-media-technologies/id316698251

    P.S.:
    We make good progress testing the iOS 64-bit version of Cubasis, same for adding new features and user-requested improvements/fixes. Still it will take a while until being ready to be released. Please be patient, it'll be worth the wait.

    Best,
    Lars

    How do you export a midi file out of Cubasis? I gave up trying to that a while ago.

  • These delay effects in the FX Pack one, when you move the TIME knob - do they just skip to the next value or do they do the fun pitchy stuff?

    Lars, that is great to hear. Can't wait

  • Is there any advantage at all to purchasing these FX packs when I already have all of the Holderness and AUfx apps, and they work well in Cubasis's IAA and/or Audiobus slots? I realize the advantages of an all-in-one suite but when you insert the functionality of these other apps it seems like that's essentially the same thing? Especially with those apps because they are so well-designed and work as they are suppose to.

    I thought I'd ask because of the sale.

  • @markk to export MIDI, do a Mixdown of the open project - yes - a mixdown. You get the option to export the MIDI. The MIDI will then appear in your Mixdown area and you can then share it.

  • @Paulyboy can you add more those effects to more than one track at a time? You're thinking along the right lines, that they are quick to access being built in.

  • edited April 2015

    @Jocphone

    You can add 4 build-in effects at each track

    @Paulboy

    Perhaps the biggiest advantage to buy IAP effects is you can have unlimited automation on those effects and on many tracks which 3rd party app not allowed to do natively! plus 3rd effects can on only in one track slot.

  • Just to expand @Kaikoo.

    You can add 3 built-in or IAA FX per track as inserts in addition to EQ and 3 built-in or IAA FX as sends per track.

    You can also add 3 built-in or IAA FX in addition to the brickwall limiter to the master track.

    Of course you'll need an iPad 15 with a 16-way CPU and 8GB of memory to do so with more than a handful of tracks if you try fully loading them all - esp. with IAA FX ;-)

  • Hmmm ok I think I understand now. Thanks for clearing it up everybody. Maybe I'll take advantage of the sale then.

  • Thanks @Kaikoo @MusicInclusive but I was wondering whether you could add the same external effect to more than one track. I kinda had this idea that you could only use each one once whereas you can add the same cubasis effect to multiple tracks. Have I got that right?

  • @Jocphone said:

    You are right! external no more than one track unless you keep recroding and move the already done audio sequnce to the empty track, You then record again with! That is the reason folks like Auria native plugin, It can be used on multiple tracks! So the Cubasis IAP quite reasonably competive now! Catch your chance!

    Thanks for that very useful info @Musicinclusive.

  • Can the IAP effects be applied to midi tracks?

    The answer is yes! You can have IAP effects on IAA Midi track, even on real time recording!
