no, debit balance! You will need Pro C, MB, Q ...... etc for Auria, I got Saturn yesterday!
I have most of those now (isn't Saturn a fulljoy necklace!), but there are plenty of other things coming up. Mrs. Goodyear has a jar she puts 20 dollar bills in. It has a label on it 'For Paris'. I'm still hoping Korg will oblige
@JohnnyGoodyear
Candid! Let's wait for the Attack launch!
@johnnygoodyear, looks like you will have Mrs. Goodyear on a technicality if Korg goes that route. Ha!
Mine just goes to summer school to keep the drain going over the summer! ;-)
Nice....that's Father's Day sorted! Are you reading kids?
Hey. A giftcard would actually beat the hell out of many well-intentioned objects I have received down the years and had to find hiding spaces for....
Not really looking for another drum machine, but, shit, this one sings! Be curious to know how the acoustic samples sound (zero exposure to the desktop VST, mind).
Intrigued in Indiana.
Just a minor "update"...While the site reflects the "first weeks of June" thing, I kidnapped the Waldorfinian King and ruler from Waldorfs secret HQ (it's more like an underground sewage/lair, but wth), tortured him real good to CONFIRM beyond a doubt that we will see Waldorf Attack before the end of the 2 first weeks of June. So could be any day between today and Sunday June 14th. Yes, I forgot to ask about the exact date. (Btw, I put him in an inflatable rubber boat back to Germany, and he's recuperating in some hospital, so all is good)
You sir are an inglourious basterd. Well done.
Yes, with an "e". Unashamedly so, sometimes.
Every time this thread is updated my brain's fog machine lets out a little cloudburst of serotonin and whispers "it's finally out"
Got it Bad for this one.
You can read the Attack manual first, I did.
@Kaikoo that seems like Both a good idea And torture. (But mostly a good idea) - x
Status update from the King of Waldorfinians, the app is now in Apples hands awaiting review.
"@5tenzel: Up to Apple now, the App has been uploaded @Chris1a1"
And here's a new track he made (Made completely in Attack, I had no idea you could produce rock with Attack)
Rock on
Bwa ha ha ha ha! That sounded freaking awesome.
twenny 5 years, wonder how it would have sounded with proper spelling...
It feels like there will be a lot of pharse-vocoder abuse once this app hits the store
Well, he did make similar singing sounds/tracks with Naves vocoder. I think some proper skills are required to have it sound that good. But they could've tweaked it for Attack, who knows
I know huh, if it's ain't roger troutman on a talk box I don't wanna hear it lol
I'm so looking forward to whatever can be done with samples, I'm surprised that no one has put drum synthesis together with samples before. There are so many holes in iOS somebody could have done the concept already and charged half of what waldorf is gonna get from all of us and made a nice little bucket of change......of course I have to take this opportunity to say nobody is putting a monome like app on iOS either, leaving it to novation, who only want to sell sound packs...... it's just money in the bank waiting for someone.
This is one app I'm looking forward to buying. Bring it on. Now!
Hmm, I just looked thru the manual, pattern length 4-16 steps.
There is a possibility to add up to 7 notes per step (chords etc.) and adjust the tick where the notes land and some other parameters.
Guess we'll be stuck with 4/4 16th notes unless using external sequencer. The big question to the Waldorf Devs for this limitations is Why????? (They should at least give us a triplet grid with 6 'squares' per beat).
@Samu
Why is triplet so important in this context? Professor Samu
@Kaikoo Triplet is just one example of what alternate grid-sizes would offer another one would be 32nd and 64th notes. Triplets are used to create grooves...
Impossible to program beats like this without triplets...
For example if you enable Triplet for 1/16th notes you get 6 notes per beat instead of 4.
Swing control can do this better, without changing the grid.. Set it to 50 in a 0-100 system or 66 in the LinnDrum 50-75 system for perfect triplets.
Hopefully the 'swing' in Attack is 'Linn-Type'.
I still do prefer to program swing patterns manually, makes it easier to mix 1/16th and 'Triplet' patterns.
Gadget's swing is terrible, but yes it does.
@solador78 Corrected my post, i like to mix triplets and 1/16h notes so 'global' swing is not always a good solution.
OK, got it. You had originally said that you needed triplets for grooves, not for fills. I agree that global swing doesn't work for fills, but for grooves it's perfect.
If anyone can't get triplets to work in Gadget with the global swing, halve your tempo to 64 bpm and program 16x 16th note closed hi-hats across 1 bar..
