ToneStack + Motherload lowest price ever, one day only

Motherload costs less then if you bought just the delays and reverbs. I'm not a guitar player but this is hard to resist.

  • celebrating BIAS:FX launch day? ;-p

  • Just when I thought I knew exactly what I was going to buy with the rest of my $41 in iTunes credit then this happens and throws a wrench into everything.

  • Is there any info for the amp / effect list of Motherload?

  • Question: May I use this one with a synth?

Absolutely. Some of the effects in ToneStack Motherload work very well with synths. The Echorex and PolyOct are real sweet.

    Thanks @Seangarland.

Bought it before your answer...too good to be true. :)

http://www.yonac.com/tonestack/store.html There's a menu on the right from where you can go to all the amp/effect categories and see what's on the menu. Motherload is all of it.

Edit: I think all of it, it says all that's available in version 1. I don't know if they added anything.

  • This is a great deal! but which effects have come out since 1.0? I'm about to but it, but I'd want to know which effects I will be missing. Notice the bundle is called "Motherload 1.0" presumably because it doesn't include any of the newer effects.

I was an early adopter of ToneStack and Motherload last year, which was kind of frustrating when then offered the $50 bundle for at least $15 off literally a month or two after release :(

Anyway, to my knowledge, they have not added any new content (effects or amps) since the original release. I'm not positive about this, but I think we may need to pay for additional IAP's. One of the "unlock everything" bundles that copied this (Agile, maybe?) makes it so that you never have to pay for new content, but the Yonac one is a bit more ambiguous:

I don't "regret" the ToneStack or Motherload purchases by any means, though I'm a little disappointed by the app overall. If you really love effects and the more complicated options, it certainly goes further than JamUp did (but perhaps not the new BIAS FX). I just find a lot of the apps in ToneStack to be a "thin" or different sounding compared to their real-life counterparts, and the app has to work harder than I expected to process even very simple signal chains.

  • The current version is v1. I'm not sure if they're planning to add anything but unless they release version 2 I think we're good.

I'd agree with that. I've got various hardware guitar effects and the quality doesn't really compare. I've only got the base Tonestack app but have never used it on a track.

Very impressed with the tone Flo got on his Bias FX Floyd tracks though - that's more like it.

  • Current version is 1.4 so that is why I wondered if there were other add-ons that wouldn't be included. anyway, thanks for the info; sounds like I'll get them all for $13.99 US

  • Worth every penny. One of the best all around packages!
So much in that mother ship, get it while the gettings good!

Sorry, but I'm quite lost: Do you mean Motherload 1.0 (IAP number 1) includes IAP number 2 + .... + number 8?

Anyway, I'm stunned building guitar riffs from iSEM arps, just tweaking the included presets.

  • How much is the motherlode IAP normally?

That's what I thought. I only compared the tape delays to the ones in JamUp and AmliTube. The ToneStack ones were definitely the best.

Bias fx,tonestack, bias ,flying haggis...each one of these apps can achieve great sounds.the wall and shine could be achieved with any or these apps with no problem.no matter the app, what matters is elsewhere, really!! I have not faved guitar app .i use what i need at a precise moment.for me,tonestack has the best fx of all ios guitar apps.amazing! Don't focus on this or that.thanks!

Thanks Flo, that's made me revisit my base version and spend a bit more time with it. It's better than I remembered, though I didn't have iFretless last time I tried so that's benefiting from the extra FX welly. I'm tempted by this now. The EQ's are very useful.

I always get compliments about the clean tone running through tonestack amp sims through the PA. Also the tape delay and vibrato are sweet. The only thing I'm not hugely happy with is autowah/envelope follower so far but this was before I had motherload.

  • edited April 2015

I'm not that keen on the Wah(s) in Tonestack, but then again there isn't anything much better on iOS. I sometimes use the Galileo one instead, it has a lot more options.

Other than that though, Tonestack is pretty good, personally I think it's right up there with BIAS for clean tones, and for effects there's nothing better.

  • Has anyone got the new Bias FX app and can comment on how it compares with Tonestack? I'm very tempted with the Tonestack offer, but if Bias sounds better then I'll wait for that one to go on sale. Looking through the vids I've heard better guitar sounds from the Bias app, but that doesn't really mean anything as it could just be down to what was used for the vids.

I believe the regular price was $40 US, this is the biggest discount Yonac has ever offered. I'm in.

  • I always wanted to have those Galileo type rotarys available on the iPhone. I'm in too.

  • I already own some of the bundles, and had lamented not buying the Motherload right away. Now I can complete my collection for a great price. Thanks - really enjoy running synths thru it and recording to the 8-track.

  • Well, I went for the whole lot. I have to say that initially I wasn't wildly impressed with the overdrive/distortion tones, but looking at it a bit more, I think there's more to offer. The FX are good stuffs indeed.

I didn't want to have to buy the Bias FX again, particularly if they've just had a makeover...
I may be wrong, but there you go.

  • I went for it too, and just spent the last hour mucking about with DM1 and iFretless running through it. Really impressed - the filters and modulators are fantastic, and the amps and EQ's really beef things up.

Favourite effects: PolyOCT, The Gerbil, Filter Gnome, OverPass, Phased N Confused, By Ringo, Bit Mistress, Dual Harmony, Cosmic Echo and the rotary pedals.

Really good and incredible value. I did have one crash but to be fair I was pushing it a bit.

  • App + Motherload - 15 USD?!

Anyone in question; Do it! Totally worth it!

  • I just bought it but after fiddling with it for a while I'm going to pass. I already bought all of the stuff that was interesting to me via single purchases.

  • can i buy FX seperately?Currently i'm only interested in the cosmic echo ;)

Yeah I think you can do, but for a tenner I'd recommend the whole thing. Some really good stuff in there.
