Thanks mister_rz, I know of quite a few at the NI user library, but it seems the Kontakt, Absynth ones are down, the forum also mentions sharing Maschine projects, but it seems it hasn't really taken off, due to the limitless restrictions with regard to copyrighted material.

The reaktor user library has always been quite busy, others don't tend to see a lot of action, so I'm hoping ni is doing something with them to spur more interest while they are down. Copyright can be a double edged sword as far as creativity is concerned, I didn't even know about sharing of maschine projects, just kind of wish they bought back the deep fx range for maschine.

There was this hidden reaktor ensembles zip called reaktor legacy library, that featured older ensembles, that got installed with the factory content, but you had to manually unzip it and move to your ensembles folder, didn't find out about it until a year after I got reaktor, not sure if it's in the newer version but might be worth a look, unless of course you already knew about it.

  • I like all the nice unique UI´s of all the ensembles.... indeed, i could not resist and i ordered now Kontakt 5 for the 50% off crossgrade price. That could also resolve my problems with the Emotional Cello library (some patches just run in demo mode whatever i do... but i will get a new box because it could be "damaged" software...i will see).

Just for fun... here is a little track i once had the same title on an older iPhone track created with ThumbJam and NanoStudio. This time created with Logic Pro X, Emotional Cello (still have to master it), Alchemy and a few other tools. Controlled with the mighty ThumbJam ; )

  • @mister_rz, thanks yet again, yes they're in the default library folder, Reaktor 3 and 4, ensembles, strange they give you them, but hidden away zipped!

@Cinebient, thanks for sharing, always nice to listen to your work, love the cello, works really well, has a very Celtic feel, a power and grace.

  • Wow, Reaktor 6 is out with a new modular framework called Blocks which looks like Zmors Modular. Should be fun...

This should make it easier to get to grips with others code, to patch things together.

  • I would love to see an iOS version of Kontakt.

That would be fantastic, but would eat our iPads storage, chomp, chomp. Only thing is NI on iOS seem to be in stasis.

  • well I tried so many ways to get my Maschine studio to work with iPad nope but the new Kontrol M32 does as a midi controller

  • Really? I'm looking into getting one but wanted to make sure it works with the ipad also.

  • Yeah i have seen "Works with iPad" too many times now, and they normally dont unless they are connected to a computer first, hopefully this one breaks the mold, but you would still need a computer to configure it.
