Sure. We'll stay on 7 probably until 9 comes out. I fully support how ANYONE manages to get all their gear working the best they can!
Those on the old OS will definitely struggle to run the latest apps and updates. Their choice. Telling the world iOS 7 is anti-suck will not change anything. Tech moves along very quickly these days. 80+ % of iOS musicians are on the latest iOS. Quite a huge demographic for progress.
Sorry, but I see everyday a lot of new apps iOS7 compatible. I wonder how those guys test them, but they work fine.
Check it out AppShopper.com (with the new / weird iOS7 style) New apps.
Just cheating: To those who complains about huge size apps, Grim Fandango Remastered is 2944.2 MB.
...and 3300 MB installed
"We've just fixed this issue, and now in the beta test stage for submission. A minor update will be available soon. Thank you for your patience."

After my initial breakdown when I started this thread - I have levelled off.
Needless to say, I switched to IOS 8.
I could no longer be a martyr or bitter clinger to IOS 7. I figured, the worst of IOS8 bugs were worked out.
And they were.
I AM SO PLEASED TO HAVE MADE THE SWITCH TO IOS8.
Nevermind, I now can enjoy the whole Gadget experience, I was able to use Synthmaster. ALL in 1 hourand updateing my IPAD and IPHONE, my work flow and tools have increased immensely. I will grab Zed today to further take advantage of now having IOS8.
I love the new Gadget with the new synth integration. It was so much what Gadget needed for me to do what I need to do with the app. Marsielle just never did it. Now with Darwin -- GADGET HAS EVOLVED.
I really don't know why I didn't just do this earlier.
I'll probably upgrade my Air 1 to iOS 8 soon. I'm reluctant, though, to cripple the performance of my otherwise very functional iPad 2.
And how many of those upgraded vs. how many are using a device that already came with iOS 8?
I am on AIR
Upgrading an iPad 2 is a tough call. I'm reading more and more about how iOS 9 will emphasize stability and performance on old devices. You might just wait for that.
too bad -my Air 7.1.2 updated gadget automatically- and it no longer works- I just wish that ios8 were stable for music apps- for now I will wait for the fix-
I am really surprised that ANY musicians are on ios8- except for those with new devices- it still isn't functionng for music apps- so why use it ? I guess they don't know that 7.1.2 has superior latency and sound quality? weird-
Wow, that makes me feel so paranoid for staying on 7. I just like things working. I'm thinking about buying a refurb air 2 128gb as a second machine. But part of me wants to wait and see what the fall brings.
The iOS7 'Fix' for Gadget (V1.2.1)just popped up in the Appstore...
I have no devices left running iOS7 so i can't verify..
@johnfromberkeley I'm wondering why 20% of the people here are iOS7 and only 10% of our users are. Could be because we had an iOS7 crash bug when we released. Or maybe people with iOS7 don't buy as many apps or already have 100 drum machines. :-)
Or because internet polls are so reliable................................. ;-)
@RustiK Heh yeah, selection bias in polls. Could be it. The people in iOS7 could be more likely to vote in an iOS poll because they're more interested in the topic.
Or people in this forum are more likely to be in iOS7 than the other people buying our app.
damn- I thought 1.2.1 was going to be the fix- still crashing at launch though- not fixed yet-
The new Korg Gadget “…is perfectly designed to enhance the width of your creativity.”
What is it — a synth or a tampon?
Lost in translation. Probably meant to say 'girth'.
Fixed here! iPad2 7.1.2
@R_2, A reboot may help! If not already done..
For @setAI and others..
i assume that was adressed to setAI?
Version 1.2.1 fixed it for me.
Pretty much everything in life seems to come out width or girth by day's end....
Your absolutely right! :-)
Welcome to iOS 8. Not a bitter pill at all
Update works for 7.1.2. It's back!!!
And crashed for me in 8.3
Not me, gadget is working fine in iOS 8.3 after the update
Gadget update is working well in 7.1.3
Four crashes so far. I'll update this comment though as sometimes new/updated apps seem to require 'bedding in time' on my iPad.
