I dunno if any of you use Stick Motion for videos, but as per appstore custom, i accidentally stumbled upon its sequel the other day: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/animation-pro/id1098505288?mt=8
The dev read my unspoken desires & you can now make your own lip-synced mouths.
I imagine there will be little sleep over there for a bit....
Actually, I do like the idea of being able to export scenes with transparency for use elsewhere etc. Might be worth a look...
Cut-out puppetry + Pixabay & other free image sources is like Jim Henson's creature workshop on an ipad.
And yeah I'll be forcing myself awake days-long as I try to muster up something for Radiohead's vignette contest, my only shot at having my existence validated by my boyhood (and nowhood) heroes.
(testing vignette elements, jakob boehme mixed with pixabay toys, run thru vont, animation pro, videoshop, and pinnacle pro....)
Just my kind of thing
, but it does (quietly) shout a lot of work....and a lot of different apps. Funny, when it comes to music I don't mind having five things that need to go through six things, but with video (rather than stills) I get scared moving things from one program to another....which is why I get stuck exporting 'video' from powerpoint to use in Premiere. N00bs. They're everywhere...
Yeah and usually my ipad videos end up as feeder for stuff I do on my computer, I like to build up a nice stock and then its like a little Christmas running them through Magic Music Visualizer. The ipad video/animation apps are just about the right size/complexity for me too, as I glance at the 500-page manual for Anime Pro (and 300-page tutorial collection). One day I'll come to terms with Blender though. One day...
What do you use to cut puppets out?
Formerly Stick Motion, now Animation Pro (the sequel).
Although technically I use Union to do more precise cutting-out, or draw on transparent backgrounds
This is probably old news but Medibang Paint is a pretty cool free app. Much better than what I would expect from a free app.

Nice, thanks.
OF COURSE I bought this just ten minutes ago
Actually kind of fun if you let it run and run and take snap shots of changes. Like a subtle oily timelapse. Bound to use it for something....
I've bought software for the PC in the past that cost a leg and an arm, to get this free is a bit of a treat. Good results too look.
I use a lot of iColorama and photoshop blend and public domain photos from Pixabay.. definitely looking deeper at this thread
