  • Lol, but I shouldn't have to disclose or elaborate. Like u, Im a member here, I post often and start quite a few well commented upon threads. I'll think twice before trying to do any favours cause I really didn't appreciate the bloody interrogations lol

    Cheers

  • Well, despite the scepticism, there's only 42 units left I just heard..

  • Sennheiser cx 475...amazing and cheap

Sorry, I admire your enthusiasm, but that seems to be marketing bullshit from the guy that runs the company. I got that email telling me that, so I tried adding 150 units to my basket, and the website told me there were 'only' 138 units available. A shame, it'd be nice if they were more open about it. This discrepency, coupled to the less than positive comments left by their Kickstarter backers for other products now leaves me doubting this company. Hopefully they'll come good, but they've got some work to do, in my opinion.

  • I'll chat with them , looks bad on my trying to help push something that apparently has question marks...I do trust some of their affiliates implicity and my own unit of the in ear headphones is splendid

But at the same time, in marketing, it can be ruthless, especially when it's music related..drugs and all that lol, money..

Respectfully, meaning I see where you're coming from and understand it, I disagree.

No one is afraid of commerce or advertising here. We have a lot of developers on the forum. When a dev hypes their app, we all understand the bias and absolutely no one minds. Hell, we even encourage it. If a dev comes here and hypes their app without letting anyone know they're the developer, sideways looks abound. Transparency is key. If you want to hype some headphones, great. If you got those headphones for free but don't say anything about it, it calls into question your motivations (which is, by the way, bad for business because it calls into question the product being discussed).

  • Lol, I was clear from the start that the reason I was letting u guys know about the deal on the over ear headphones was because I was given a set to review on my blog, and was convinced of the quality first hand- I am not obliged to talk about them here..

I posted about the offer on the Zeus headphones cause I see that peeps like a good deal, app sales and so on

That's it, don't see why I have to bloody explain myself ad nauseum here lol

    Hi all,

We don't usually come online and join these discussions as our views are often disregarded as bias (for obvious reasons!) I have read through and wish to clarify a few points with you all..

    1. touchconspiracy approached us a while ago to review our earphones as he had heard things through associates, other than the set of earphones there are no other perks to the review whatsoever, he believes genuinely in the product and believes that you guys should know about us..

    2. Our endorsements are all genuine and again have received no payments in anyway to endorse (again just a strong belief in the quality of the product).

    3. Some of our Artists endorsements have culminated in their own product being put out there for sale which of course will have a royalty payment for the pleasure of their faces being on the packaging.

    4. Our Kickstarter campaign was a great success, of the 800+ units that were sold across the campaign a few came back as faulty, which if anyone here has ever had the pleasure of developing a new to market product happens, this is not a true reflection of the quality of the product. Unfortunately as you will all be aware as consumers, the people that shout loudest are the people that are dissatisfied and not those that are happy.

We offer an unprecedented 5 year full replacement warranty with our PUMPS on all manufacturing faults and offer PUMP REPLACE for products damaged by the customer which offers a huge discount on a replacement so that you don't miss out.

We are not about fashion, we are all about sound, we have much going on and are constantly developing our products, We along with all developers out there have our faulty units, this is unavoidable sadly and we look to improve with all feedback received. We have an amazing sounding set of earphones that will struggle to be beaten on many platforms, we are open to any challenge from any manufacturer, unfortunately you have to try them to be able to comment about their quality. "Better Than Beats" is not a benchmark for our products its a statement of fact, try them!! You'll see for yourself.. Our website is full of videos and comments with many comparisons to other brands and you will be able to make your own mind up visit our site yourselves pump-audio.com

I am willing to put my money where my mouth is and can offer you all a discounted set of earphones from the Titans By Frost or SHOTTA'S by Harry Shotta at £44 instead of the usual £99.00!! Please go to: http://pump-audio.com/product/pumpaudio-earphones/ select either the Titan's or Shotta's and use the voucher code: AUDIOBUS at the checkout.

Thank you for taking the time to read :-)

  • Hello Dave,

    Just a couple of questions,

What kind of sound isolation do they offer ? It says 'complete' on your site - does that suggest they are on a par with Etymotics for example ? Are they ported ?

The references to bass suggest that they aren't going to be a true reference earphone, couple to the references / comparisons to Beats phones - which are known to be bass heavy. (?)

    cheers

    Hi Igneous1

They offer up to 100% noise isolation, it is always difficult to guarantee complete isolation for all listeners as it is totally dependant on the ear canal and fit. Early version was ported and the later are not, our bass is generated through the power of the drivers.

If you are looking for a flat sound PUMP's are not for you, Reference earphones are like marmite, some say it is just a revenue raising option and others truly believe that it assists them in their production capabilities. Our earphones will allow listeners to hear all ranges of music and will open up sounds not heard in other brands. I can however tell you that we have Grammy recognised producers using PUMPS in their studio's and will still testify to their quality, these have worked with the Jacksons, Alicia Keys, Craig David to name but a few.

    Hope this helps

Get custom molds- I have the same issue, even the smallest generic tips are uncomfortable. I have custom iem's for gigs, which weren't cheap, but yesterday I just got a radians custom earplug kit and when I have time will try to mold those around my meeaudio headphones to make those more comfortable for regular listening and as a backup for my iem's. There's a few YouTube videos on how to do that.

  • please let me know :)

  • The thing with in-ear buds and anybody who has a set should try this, with care, rotate them and alter their angle in your ears whilst listening to music, the colour and sonic character of the sound can alter considerable.

  • Have found this to be true, especially with the MRice we've been talking about. They really are astonishing headphones and super cheap.

Let me know how it goes if you try the molds. I hope I have time to do mine tonight.

  • Hi touchconspiracy, where can I find your blog?

    Ta for the reply Dave,

I was more wondering about dB figures actually, The Etymotic ER-4P is considered to have the highest sound isolation, their website says the following:

'98% (35 dB - 42 dB) noise isolation —highest of any earphones or headsets on the market today'

Just another point, reference phones / IEMs may be like 'marmite', but thats exactly what musos want (that is musos working in a wide range of genres) and perhaps the more 'Bovril' (bass-enhancing) approach would be less suited to say , Folk music. I can see the appeal of this approach more so for listeners.

I'm not trying to be a pain here, I'm curious. I've owned lots of IEMs and that's the reason for my queries.

Lots of stuff there but I've not posted in months, been very busy with other things.

I tend not to blog about every app that comes out cause others do that, don't like repeating/ copying..

Actually the blog is morphing into a business hub as we speak
