    Nope.

  • Some Patterning videos at least?

  • I signed up just to submit this guess: it's going to be an AirPlay compatible version, or at least use SSDP and/or Bonjour to send networked audio to either just speakers or, more cleverly, bi-directional link of AB on one iPad to another. Boom.

    Gimme my freebie!!!

I happen to be changing jobs, which requires me to start learning to talk to AirPlay speakers etc. I happened to notice that Audiobus was listed as one of the "devices" that this particular wifi audio sniffing app supports. I th go to myself "that's odd. Audiobus isn't doesn't support AirPl... Hey wait a minute!"....

  • The Wifi-Hotspot feature gets disabled on my iPad Air 2 when i launch AudioBus but returns when i quit it!?!

If this is part of the 'new' super secret stuff I hope it will be possible to turn it off too...

That is interesting, especially because I received a Bonjour Error message when I first launched Audioobus following its recent update (on my iOS 8.2 device). I had to reboot iPad to clear the message and get Audiobus to function.

  • SSDP, mDNS and Bonjour are all used for home wide audio devices, uPNP devices, home automation etc. my guess is that they are going to make it so that each instance of AB, running on its own device, can connect to the others the same way an AirPlay speaker connects to your music library. The difference would be, I think, that they are doing both client AND server at the same time, to stream audio back and forth. AirPlay speakers act as a server and your music library or portable devices act as clients, sending audio streams to the server for "rendering" to the speaker.

Maybe it's just that they are adding the ability to "send to AirPlay" as an output...

  • This audio over wifi all sounds very interesting as I have 4 iOS devices I could throw into the mix but how to sync this little iOS orchestra?

  • @mkeymont glad you got your passport, do come back and visit...

  • yep, that's my guess. it is an app that lets you switch on and off signal chains in audiobus, kind of like a live mixer. and possibly with a randomize function? am I close?

  • when I want random I just close my eyes and press, press, press...

  • I do hope it is a native live mixer with multiple outs, app soloing fx muting etc I note that recently loopy got a mute all action updated :)

  • How is the latency with AirPlay ?

  • @Jes said:

    Unusable.

  • Ok. My guess is a selectable (programmable ? ) Randomiser for compatible apps from within AB . Something like the dice in Addictive Synth, but able to randomise settings of single or multiple apps.
Oh, but wait, it's an app itself ?
    Hmmm....

  • It's no randomizer.

  • Shake the iPad to randomise? :D

    Read my lips:

    IT IS NO $%&/ing RANDOMIZER!

    PS: lol

  • I'm glad it's not a randomiser.

  • Is a modular system...Reason comes to AB:-)

  • @Sebastian are you absolutely sure it is not a randomiser because that would be absolutely awesome! If it's not a ramdomiser I'm giving up making music on iPad altogether. This is not a laughing matter.

  • Ok then so instead, is it a blandomizer?

  • I don't get why randomizers are such a big deal. Just drop your ipad. That'll add some true randomness...

What about a randomize button for the price.... from 0,99€ to 999,99€.
    Randomizers are great ;)

Same here. My OCD doesn't allow me to indulge in randomness

  • Indeed, for modulation randomizer are really very useful!

So true. I am happy that it's not a randomizer.

  • I hope it will be worth the wait what ever it is or does as long as it's not a 'randomiser'...

A built-in mixer with automatisation and a recorder with editing capabilities would be nice :)

Seems like a great IAP expansion for AudioShare.

  • Seems like a DAW :D
