Finally! And I thought nobody would guess it...

some fancy drum touch interface, non step seq

something algo made up patterns to change on the fly

    does it use force touch?

Sounds like a knob to tweak speed and somthing on and off switch.

  • A sort of big X/Y pad that controls apps loaded ni AB ? Perhaps with a sequencer like the one in Flux:FX ?

  • You guys are too specific. :)

  • They figured out a way to make an "unplugged" version of AB. Neil Young will be doing a demo of it on Fallon next week.

  • so is it a switch that randomly routes different audio signal paths through apps?

    Not bad.

  • is it like abelton" Live"? or "live" as in performing live? does it work to control audiobus externally, or work within the audiobus app?

  • do you have any recorded tracks you can share that have used this app ?

  • So it just has a mind of its own? There has got to be some way to tell it what type of genre you want as a starting point.

  • Apple Watch version!

Could do a modern-day version of the old Kraftwerk "Pocket Calculator" live performances.

  • This thread is killing me. I won't be here till next week...or the week after:)

  • @ Sebastian - aren't you just as anxious to just tell us?? ;-)

    Yup.

  • I'm thinking it will be like taking the AB side panel, with all its options buttons, and making it full screen. It will also let you switch input to effect to output routing on the fly. I haven't the time to read this whole thread if that's been guessed already, though.

Yep. I'm thinking something like novation launchpad but with audiobus apps and effects on the pads (and effect slots). Then you can kind of punch in and out different synths/apps. Perhaps quantised to a bpm.

That way you could set up loops and drones and stuff in the other apps and mix between them... Live.

  • I think Sebastian is enjoying this a bit too much. I'm having fun too though. This is also a great imagination exercise.

  • I have a feeling we will be getting MIDI assignable toggles for apps in an audiobus chain. That has me all hot and bothered. want this TODAY.

  • edited July 2015

Being able to run multiple Instances of the same effects or synths? That would be bloody awesome.

  • If only the designers of women's clothing really understood the effect of MIDI assignable toggles on some guys...

  • An Audiobus VST and AU for connect Audiobus to Mac with lightning cable...

PS: or Audiobus for Apple Watch ;-)

    @Musikman4Christ
using 6 synth apps, 2 effect processors, ipad air 16 gb wifi, 512 frames for buffer, flawless sound. i use ilectric and galileo as standards, loopy for loops if needed with tap tempo, loopy clock sent to nlog, tap tempo for the effects so to have variety, and sample tank, iprophet and nlog for various presets. all controlled by 4 midi synths connected to a usb powered hub. the 2 pics in audiobus is because the screen cannot fit all the layers

Also, can you share your Audiobus setup?
    Thanks!

  • Awesome setup https://forum.audiob.us/profile/5560/MichaelGr

Been thinking of getting MiMix but this new secret app might be something that will replace mimix.

I want to learn how switch midi channels on the fly with my midi controller.

We get another week to wonder about the implications of "almost". Aces.

Yes. The one who guessed it first, that is.
