Ok, just tried recording MIDI output with Cubasis.
Problems include:
Cubasis E Guitar instrument pitched an octave lower than OMGuitar.
Recorded MIDI notes don't mute when you change chords, so the previous chord rings on through the new one.
Any string bending/vibrato on OMGuitar results in permanent transposition of the subsequent output from Cubasis's E Guitar.
The above problems render it pretty useless as a MIDI controller for other instruments.
HOWEVER
The good news is that all these problems vanish if you use the recorded MIDI to drive OMGuitar again. What gets played and recorded is pretty much what gets played back, so it should be possible to record the MIDI output, edit mistakes and replay on OMGuitar, recording the audio for a final take.
Encouraging....
so the OMG midi seems suspect but cubasis is solid?
I was about to give up on it.
Well done that man.
I just tried again.
this time without AB.
Recorded midi out of OMG into cubasis.
Just simple strumming, but got none of the stuttering I was getting earlier.
Quantised and adjusted velocity and then
Closed both apps.
Turned on AB and opened both apps.
As you said..the midi out from cubasis drove OMG and I got a nice audio recording.
Thanks Paul.
Does it have a fretboard that you can play like a real guitar? Can you also adjust the tuning of each string?
Thnx in advance
No.
The red circle is for recording. Activate it then record your sequence. Go into File Manager and you will find a wav file of your recordings. Select a wav file and you can then edit using cut, crop, reverse etc. This is really good and of course you can send your files to other apps. Great execution.
