Yup.
BUT I agree with you. It's a great bit of kit.
I use that all the time as I'm pretty bored with the presets now. Most of the controls are fine, but the little switches are stupidly small.
Saying that though I agree with @andyx - I'm really grateful they're making affordable versions for iOS users.
Me too. I've been a fan of slicers since Dr REX in Reason came out over 10 years ago. I'm waiting for a Sugar Bytes sale for the desktop. Looperator looks like it is better than Egoist and I love Egoist.
^ my pet peeve, and deserving of ridicule whenever it happens...
Only real complaint with SB's apps is the lack of effort with UI's, especially Thesys, I actually thought they would have redesigned it for iOS, yes in my opinion it's that bad.
I'd agree with that, I find it pretty much unusable.
At least from the look of it Kirnu will do a better job than SB.
I really don't appreciate the condescending tone of your post, I was a professional musician for many many years and played thousands of live gigs (but unfortunately I was never a nanotechnologist) so I believe I am in a good position to say I know it would be near impossible for me to use Turnado's preset list live on a dark stage.
Now if I said the app jumps around (i.e. zooms/shrinks uncontrollably) I said it because it is true for me, not that I need to explain myself but I cannot use the provided weird presets in a practical way and therefore need to spent a lot of time fiddling to create practical presets that I can use in Turnado.
I am not pathetic enough to post on this forum simply for the attention but it seems some members have way too much time on their hands and post from a sense of entitlement trying to control what other people think.
I read and re read Chris words and it don't sound condescending . But your reply has enough ego to trigger actual condescending remarks tho...just saying lol
Ooh laawd
Yeah, it's funny how people's egos react when someone disagrees with their position on things isn't it. Happened to me a few weeks ago on Twitter...lol
@banjofran
Be patient, Don't use it for live!
Use it for fun slowly and slowly to accept the fact!
Thank you so much for both instances of your opinion because I really do respect your judgement, especially your decision to start not one but two threads on this very forum pushing the sale of dodgy headphones for your mate, and when you were told it was not cool you were bitterly insulted. ……… Haha
Thank you Kaikoo, for the useful feedback. I will give it another try.
gentlemen, I don't really share the same problems with Thesys, most seem to have. I do understand though, for other guys it's too difficult to touch some of those tiny controls... . Turnado was my introductory drug, and I'm veeeeery satisfied with it. All of those sugarbytes-pearls really make my day, and I'm so happy to be able to have them light my dull cave (which also is cool, though, in these hot summerdays...). There's two sides (at least) to everything, and people have differing opinions..., please be gentle and have appreciation for the diversity of life, which is what rears its head here, really.
(of course, just my simple opinion), have a great day everybody, and don't let the high pricing for Takete (or anything else, for that matter) ruin your day!
heartfelt cheers, t
Sugar Bytes' best friend is midiLFOs!
Extra hands, try..........
@animal Hell Yes and high-fives +
all it takes is extra small fingers and super good eyes!
Obscurium ui won't be as bad as Thesys on an iPad I don't think, on a 24 inch monitor it's very close to the same size as an iPad screen anyway, probably 10 percent bigger and there aren't as many small icons.
The drawing screen area in the middle begs to be touched
Hahaa, thing is, I have fat fingers and (as my wife likes to point out deliberately) bad eyesight ... ... By the way: the zoomfunction in Turnado can be shut down, if it bothers (settings/zoom/1x).
Lol, please quote the EXACT INSTANCE where I was bitterly insulted, cause I do not recall actually giving vent..
The headphones are selling well so I hear and actually I'm impartial,
As always, I just share info impartially and everyone has the right to their opinion..
But the way opinions are delivered and received are of the essence, and it seems your really have a superiority complex mate, cause you have a serious retaliatory nature..
Wow is my goto fx in audiobus.. Absolutely love the filters in that thing
We are the planet of the apes! Don't fight, be united. Maybe too hot the summer.
Obscurium planet.
Not fighting..just asserting myself in the face of some mild abuse lol
Interesting. For me resonance kills the app. Be tried it in so many ways but resonance always makes it whistle rather than screen. It looses all bottom end.
They may yet.
Weird contradictions on Thesys.
There is a lot of wasted space.
Yet the controls are far too small.
Maybe they will fix it. Zooming is so 90s.
You all don't really get it - these guys are so ahead of their time, they are already developing for the iPad MegaMacroPro!
Kidding of course - I think Thesys was one of the first apps they ported, back in 2013 (together with Turnado). I think they learned some lessons and the new ports have much better UIs. To be fair, if you search some other forums, I remember reading quite a number of complaints from PC and Mac users regarding the smallish Thesys screen on those other platforms as well.
It would be great if they went back to it and redesigned it.
That's the model the same size as a micro SD card isn't it, the one that sports super RETINA GFX?
Exactly! Though you know, we're not supposed to disclose all these details to the general public
Ah nice, didn't know about that, thnx. I might hunt and see if I can switch off the blessed MIDI learn too
