I gave it another try and worked on 9 imported loops and 6 BentFM one-shots before I became mentally exhausted. And none of my stuff flows as well together as the professional sample packs. But I shall keep trying, intermittenly.
I think if you get used to Abelton or even Gadget it's great. Granted Gadget has its own scenes, but if you imported them into this you can mix and match, change the how the clips launch, and do one shot stuff. I keep thinking I should make a track this way.
As mentioned, I find import hit and miss, but when it hits (esp. with effect mangling) it makes the app worth its space. I can't say I spend a whole session just doing this, but when working on something elsewhere will sometimes take a quick flyer to see if a sample here or there will get spat out in an interesting form...

If you are a person who gets "lost" on an app, the import feature can steal your dreams and daylight.
Brutal.
I did it for 1 page of 120 bpm stuff.
It took a day to do it. Tweak it often.
Now I can't stop until I fill out a whole project. All the old synths are being called out of abandonment, I wish I had spent more time making patches...

i bought the effects IAPs & blew 2 hours DJ-twerping my half-finished project. My kid is gone for 2 days & I have multiple test-wavs with snippets of different playing arrangements to hear in the background while I try to add well-gelling additions. I think this ipad mission will make the big leap to the desktop computer for further enhancements.
I am coming to appreciate the abilities of the guys/gals who put these packs together, you really have to mull it over to get good fits. This is starting to feel like some exercise program to develop those aural abs which were not as developed as theu could be.
That will be an instant bougth for me.
