Mimix Update with AB Remote in the works.
Should be real soon.

Nice...remote mixing. Sliders would be great with this one.
Good news, are sliders possible in the remote?
This is great news.
Just sayin @Carnbot. I haven't seen them yet or heard if it's even possible.
HECK yes. this is what I was waiting for. AB Remote trigger soon to be pulled.
@sebastian said rotaries are in the works, so hope slider will be, too
Rotaries are not in the works. But we're looking into expanding the functionality of Audiobus Remote.
What does it mean? Rotaries and sliders?
As for the current state of Audiobus Remote, only triggers are available, which, for MiMiX mean mute and solo buttons, no sliders or rotaries yet. As for the future, we'll see.
Sounds good. Any chance for making state-saving possible? I'd love that, too.
The next version (2.0) will include:
stay tuned, release is nigh :-)
Good to know. I haven't been needing the mixer app but I think I'll have to go for this as it's solidifying. And I don't learn a new english word for some time now. Thank you.
The buy is nigh.
Made my day :-)
Great looking forward to this
As a workaround for not having sliders or rotaries, you could have up and down triggers for volume, each press sends it up or down in increments. Animoog has a similar trigger for making the orb rotate faster or slower in the remote...
I'll think of that, but i think that would make a bit too many buttons, 8 port x 3 triggers (solo and mute triggers are now combined) = 24 buttons in 6 rows and 4 columns make a bit of clutter and would take up half of the screen space in the remote app...
Is it possible for Audiobus Remote to know how many channels in MiMix actually have inputs attached? Such that only three channels gets 3 sets of buttons and not all 8?
All 8 buttons are always visible but port buttons reflect the names of the apps attached to the ports. Also ports which has no attached apps are disabled and greyed out.
Me happy then.
i love to work with iOS>AB>Stuff....i love it!
and like the look into the future of AB Remote, but actually with no Slides&Rotary, just Triggers.....
sorry but i closed it disappointed after 15minutes...
Will the new updated mimix be a separate purchase app?
Also, can it still be used in a single iPad?
It will be a free update. No universal app though, so no iPhone support (yet).
Yes it would take more space but then I wouldn't mind for a mixer as they need space and sliders would take the same if not more?
But hopefully the remote will advance in future. Also I use another iPad for the remote so space is not an issue for me....Maybe a later version of remote could have expandable sections which could be closed when not needed.
Having solo and mute is already very useful though
I will look into this. Maybe add an option to settings so the volume triggers can be switched on or off... Worth a try.
Great, thanks for looking into it
A tought: One can do a TB Midi Stuff mixer contorol on the iPad. But can AB remote show a local App and be able to switch t it? Any solution to hving mixer controls is going to run out of real estate so multiple screens will be necessary anyway.
Except TBM is MIDI only and doesn't play with AB .
Or: press and drag opens slider level.
Never simple is it?
Tried it, looks OK but the button titles became unreadable pretty fast as i added new apps to the setup (at least on my iPhone 5s, maybe the on iPads it looks better, but most people run Remote on the iPhone i guess). Have to fiddle more with the trigger buttons to make them more readable somehow without losing the ability to tell which port is connected to which app...
looks great, simple abbreviations + symbols could work....maybe you don't need the app name just port number. After you've played around with the setup it would mostly be done by memory anyway the same as when you were using a hardware controller.
Is this suit You? M for mute, S for Solo, long press on mote goes to Solo. The port numbers are not needed since the matrix is fix, top half is ports 1-4, bottom half is ports 5-8 accordingly.

This looks useful! Anyway the icon for the app could be displayed under each of the solo/mute buttons? Kind of like how it is displayed in each channel strip in MiMiX?
