Looks like it has two sequencers that you can morph between with the cross fader? Pretty cool if it can sequence a bunch of midi channels and do morphs between sequences! Might work really nicely as an arranger keyboard haha
I think it's fake. Maybe Korg is trying to compete with Novation's Morodor synth. Instead of getting the mustache logo you get the Union Jack.

Finally, it's a kind of a (big) gadget...

Wouldn't what the reaction would be if this did appear in gadget?
Just seen the vid. Sounds like a Garden Center background music. Not impressed. Years ago , my Gran played it on her Boetempie Keyboard. I wonder if it will play Greensleeves?..... Please Korg, not this Gadget! I really, really hope it not this?
Only if you want Greensleeves in the style of The Beatles!
Then remixed to a Drum n Bass style. Someone ask Goldie, or Moving Shadow Records to have a go. Lol......

is new, too
That video is shocking. Probably the worst thing Korg has ever done - horrible. Talk about trashing a professional brand...
Well, that was a bit of a waste of speculative time.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.
Ha.
That's it I'm so going to paint a UnionJack on my keyboard....
Wow, and I was poised of about the horrible covers with vocals, the muzak version is even worse. Wow. I'm almost tempted to request a refund on gadget just to protest. Almost... Nah, gadget is too cool.
Oh wait- I get it! In Japan they don't use April 1st as any sort of silly holiday, they like to play pranks in early fall! Yeah, that's it. Now I can sleep at night. (Squeezes eyes shut REALLY tightly to make it come true).
Well, karaoke's big in Japan. Like Spinal Tap big. And the Beatles are almost as legendary as Spinal Tap, so ...
Maybe the next Gadget will be "Stonehenge."
Oooh! And next? BASILDON. The Depeche Mode arranger! :op
Whilst it's not for me, I think my 10 year old would love it. She's always playing 'For no one' on my XL+!
That was the the code name for this project For no one.
LOL! :op
God no please, growing up there was punishment enough for me...
How about the Blur vs Oasis arranger with built in insult samples?
Despite the fact that the iPhone doesn't quote correctly, best comment ever.
Honestly, I just don't get the purpose of releasing this "signature edition" instrument.
If it was a Gadget-version it would have a lot of bugs...or beatles...
So the ms20 mini was meant to cap off an era of serious hardware production. Now they will compete with Casio, where the real money is.
shudder. Well maybe the success of their retro apps inspired the hardware side.
How is this still on the site? Why haven't these posts been taken down yet? Why is Rustik still allowed to continue?
For the record, I didn't say what @solador78 just quoted (I know that wasn't what you intended @solador78 just wanted to clarify)
I also agree with you entirely @solador78
Well, they did resurrect the Odyssey. With mini keys, but still....
I thought it was going to be a ROMpler with samples of the original Beatle instruments. Sampled in Abby Road like the Waves and Native Instruments plugins. That would be worth getting.
December 25.
Jeez, really? What is this, Synthtopia?
According to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Korg_products#2010s since the ms20 mini's release in 2013 we've seen the King Korg, all four Volca boxes, two new Electribes, the ARP Odyssey, the SQ1 sequencer, KP3+... Plus all the Little Bits stuff and iOS Apps.
I'm not huge Korg fan but they're absolutely killing it hardware wise (and iOS wise) with respect to its big name Japanese competition.
Maybe the big companies have decided they want to sell to people who don't winge about something not having such and such feature....or those willing to pay for something without expecting it to also make coffee and cost tuppence.
How Terrible that Yamaha and Roland and Korg do not make those large behemoth keyboards of yore at rock bottom prices. Why do they make these toy keyboards that are not even fit to shine the shoes of a Worldly Prophet.....why is it that I cannot have it all and have it now! Lol
Tomorrow Roland, Korg and Yamaha will all release spot on faithful iOS recreations of their most sought after synths, even sounding different as they age, but guess what, many will moan about the prices while spending £30 down the boozer and throwing more to watch some crap TV channels.
Leave the poor old Union Jack keyboard alone.....let it be! Lol
