I have enough with the iPad version as well. And no regret buying Bleep!box at €0,99, wich is universal.
Is already out
Interestingly, tube gain is there, just not accessible via the screen, as far as I know. Midi channel 10, cc10 controls it. I found it on accident by using my ipad ielectribe preset on my keyboard.
Cool thanks.
Does that mean my old IElectribe on IPAD will update?
iLiverpool anyone? Give it a few months....
16 horizontal steps on an iPhone looks like a touch screen nightmare. What's it like in reality?
Don't know, haven't bought it (yet).
But I wish to revise my opinion above.
I went and had a play with iElectribe on the iPad again and it's really great. Loads there to play with. Creates lovely loops of between 1 and 4 bars. The best flutter thing is great. The automation is a joy. The per step effect on and off is great. And the sounds just brilliant. (It's much, much better than Tokyo inside Gadget).
It syncs as a slave to Loopy beautifully. So it will sync to Patterning too and you could record the inputed midi.
It has full midi cc implementation for all its parameters for all 8 instruments (that's much better than Elastic Drums or SeekBeats).
The way you can change patterns is great. You should be able to do this via midi too.
If you had this on an iPhone and then a couple of nanopads / nano controls or something (maybe a custom control surface) you could create a lovely hardware style drum machine.
The only slight shame is no audiopaste of loops on the iPhone and no midi control of the beat flutter which would have been nice.
Does sound like a solid contender to match up with a beat step pro.
Will it run on ipad next to the ipad version? I really like having to versions of the same app like cassini, sunrizer etc. 2 x ielectribe could be good fun...
@Matt_Fletcher_2000 Good insight. Worth a revisit....
Good find. Even the led display says it's Tube Gain. Interesting. I'm just not that sure I would bother setting up TB MIDI stuff just to take advantage of this when using iPhone only.
Just got this, something interesting happened: opened iElectribe, then Multitrack DAW, loaded iElectribe as IAA, armed a track, was given a message that "Audio Unit is loading". Tap record, then play, yes the DAW transport controls iElectribe. This may explain no ACP. Never seen that AU message before, though it's been a while since I used DAW. This is with the latest iOS.
I get the same AudioUnit message with Funkbox. Don't think it means anything new. The transport controls do work though with this iElectribe, so with punch recording you could get a clean loop.
X2 - very heaven
I don't see why it wouldn't.
One thing to bear in mind is that it insists on channel 10 for midi. So they might clash if you want to send different midi to each one.
The original hardware vs the app comparison video
Does the hardware ER-1 also have the hidden tube gain?
Purchased.
A semi generative Xynthersizer pattern, driving iElectribe and Oscilab (up to 6 more instruments there) all in perfect sync on my iPhone.
You can mess with iElectribe beat flutter and bringing voices in and out to create a nice live jam.
On the bus.
Good times.
Lovin it so far since floggin ipad, great to see some iphone love....
Great app to record live jams with using flutter, no love lost without export
So is this different than the iPad version? By a lot or a lil? Thanks
Similar but different. It runs on both devices, looks cute (I think) on iPad and the iPhone version is chock full of presets. I actually prefer it and somehow it seems much closer to the original hardware. In fact, a couple of YT videos online show that.
It's virtually the same. But all the extra presets are great. Some great sounds and rhythms
sick, etribes rule!
Does this sound the same as the iPad version? This video makes it sound better than I remember on the iPad. I don't have my iPad with me this weekend but am curious about this.
Hard to tell, I just had fun on both recently, too lazy to compare side to side
They sound very much the same to me.
Both sound lovely to me. Really nice sound quality.
It's also a fantastic learning aid because the preset beats are really good and there's 300 of them. You can study ones you like to work out what's happening.
Great app, it's like a digital electribe volca!
