I’m just now seeing this thread and I was about to do an update on my ipad and apps. So is everything worked out with Pure Synth Platinum now? Will my audio unit (saved states) be there when I open up my BM3 projects, if I update? Or am I gonna have to go through each instance and find what instrument and sound I was using?

Also interested been holding off on update…

Quick question should I download all my sounds and presets before updating?

Or is it ok to have the offloaded? Will it still recognize the purchases even if they aren’t downloaded on the device at time of new app update.

I did the update yesterday after hearing from someone on discord it was ok. Only thing I had to do was re-download some sounds. I didn’t have any custom presets so I can’t answer on that. If I were you I would save everything in the cloud and on the device if you can do that.”, just to be safe. Then you can always remove them from either or later on. At least I think that would be the best solution for a just in case moment. I hope I’m giving correct advice on that, as I don’t want to steer you wrong.

    Thanks @Brad

    You’re welcome.

  • Did everyone lose the pure sine presets that were previously available before the free with IAP switch happened?

  • edited June 2022

" the old Pure Sine Factory presets are in the new Factory submenu. They have not diappeared, just relocated. "

I was told this by uncledave in this thread. I don’t know about a status of loading pure sine presets in projects such as Aum. (I always respect the kindness of both @Poppadocrock and uncledave.)

  • Sorry. I may not have understood the context of Poppadocrock's question. In my case, after the latest update of PSP2 for iPad, the free pure sine presets are present where uncledave said.
(I may be talking about something that has nothing to do with the topic.)

Ohh. Ok. Yea I saw a download file for pure sine expansion, and with a quick glance didn’t see them. Thanks for clarifying.

  • I recently realized for the first time the order of the presets displayed in Pure Synth 2 can be swapped by dragging. This allows me to place the presets I have purchased on top and the ones I don't have on the bottom. (I curse those who have not telepathized this wonderful information to me so far. However, there were hints. GM app's FX are all draggable.)

Oh wow, I didn’t know this either! Cool!

    News to me too, lol.

  • Now that I finally have an iPad with enough juice (256GB 11" M1 iPadPro) I decided to download the free Pure Synth Platinum.

@GospelMusicians I have to say that this is one the best 'free' synths available for iOS/iPadOS!

The free included wave-tables are pretty nice with an easy way to scan thru the frames using the PWM knob...
...but no way to 'mangle' the wave-tables (I'm spoiled with Drambo when it comes to WaveTable mangling like wave-folding, mirroring, flipping, re-sampling, bit-reducing, ring-modding, hard-syncing etc. all in any order with full modulation capabilities).

Does the PSP Wavetable Import IAP also support 'regular' samples (including loop-metadata) and can the imported samples be managed / deleted in case I happen to import something that I didn't mean to import? (Couldn't find any info on this?!).

When the next sale takes place I'll consider getting some of the PSP IAPs as I really need to watch my spendings for a while.
The ones I'm considering getting are the Default Factory Bank and WaveTable IAPs for starters and maybe Creatmosphere.

I do have Bassalicious 1 for the iPad with the IAP but have not found any way to import them presets over to PSP?!
(Most of the core waveforms used by Bassalicious 1 seem to already be included in the free PSP?!).

Do you have any plans on making your TGX-85 pack(With Drumkits and all) available for PSP?

That pack would be a 'no-brainer' for me :sunglasses:
(The SY85 was my synth so it'll always have a special place close to my heart).

Cheers & Thanks for creating PSP :sunglasses:

    https://crossgrade.puresynth.net

The above link has the following information. (It does not seem to mention the BASSAlicious 1 app. You may have already read it, but just in case.)

" 1. If you own BASSAlicious 2 app, you can receive the BASSAlicious 1 and 2 Expansion for Pure Synth® for FREE. "

looks like new IAP is coming to Pure synth:
    https://gospelmusicians.com/products/splat-to-clat

From what I've understood spalt-to-clat is a separate app...
The SY85/TG500 expansion is coming for Pure Synth and that'll be pretty neat :sunglasses:

So I downloaded Pure Synth and bought Creatmospheres. I downloaded Creatmospheres and the White Noises. I'm trying to load the sounds in keyboard mode now, and keep getting a MISSING SAMPLES message for every sample in the pack. It had confirmed the download was complete. It's the same on both my iPad and my iPhone.

No idea what I'm doing wrong. Can anyone help please?

If I'm not mistaken Creatmosphere relies on the 'Factory Content'(Separate IAP) which is not included with the 'free' download.
@GospelMusicians It might be a good idea to add a check if the user already has the content that some of the packs rely on...

Dang. That's a purchase that was beyond my intentions! Thanks for the clarity @Samu.

I emailed @GospelMusicians. The response was a single line:

    Createmosphere requires the Factory Content.

  • Looks like the update made the download sizes a good bit smaller
