Yup, sold out at Sweetwater too 🙃
At that price, it’s a no brainer.

I noticed this over a week ago, before Andertons had it listed so I wouldn't read too much into this.

It’s what it says, so it must be true

In fact it’s been saying it for months, so it’s definitely even more true

Now saying 25 weeks till delivery! Andertons are saying 30th June.

  • I believe they are now in consumer hands.

initially i was considering to buy it but decided to go rather into Dreadbox Nymphes … sounds very similiar (fully analog too) but has more modulation possibilities and dual filter (lp+hp) , every of two oscillatoes has own subosc, it has 2 lfos instead of one .. just 6 voices poly but i am ok with that .. and it’s much smaller :-)

  • I gotta say this thing sounds really good.

I usually don’t buy new/preorder but had to jump on this. July 🤓

Yeah, I’m ready jump on the bandwagon!

  • It took so long to appear I got the Korg Opsix a while back and am more than happy with it for the same kinds of stuff I’d use the Pro 800 for

Oh yes, I remember the great Opsix gold rush last year! 😂 units got sold out right after I completed my order and I was a day late, dollar short 🤣

I paid a lot for mine compared to what they go for now – £650 or so, can’t remember exactly

The price dropped to like $300 for a week, it was a frenzy 😆

  • The Pro-800 factory presets really sound like shit...

I have found here a library (not free) that is really good and will strongly improve its usability

The Voices of the Prophets - Patches for Behringer PRO-800

  • Sounds massive

  • I’ve finally got around to purchasing one off FB marketplace. Should be here next week. I’m quite excited. First bit of new hardware for a whole.

  • I spent an evening comparing the Behringer Pro-800 to Softubes Model 80 which some consider to be the most accurate Prophet 5 emulator. Once I changed the Pro-800s VCA/VCF envelopes to fast exp mode (which was available by a later firmware update) I was really impressed how similar these two sound.

The filter characteristics are very close even on high resonance settings. There wasn’t a sound on the Model 80 that I couldn’t recreate on the Pro-800.

All in all a very impressive synth. Build quality is great, it sounds fantastic and it’s super cheap.

Nice. I’ve had the Pro-1 and it was fun to play around with but ultimately wished I had bought the 800 instead. Be sure to check out these presets for it: https://www.ultimatepatches.com/synth-patches-presets/behringer-pro-800/pro-800-patches-presets.html

I thought the Pro 1 would make a great bass synth. Thanks for the link for the presets.
